It's a great device, BUT.......
UPDATE 11/5/16: I reviewed this product when I first got it & now it is showing the device completely different place when its sitting right in front of me at my house (its showing it more than a mile away from my house) Also the other day when it was in my boyfriends car, it kept giving me all these weird locations that I KNEW he wouldn't be going to so I tested it in my car & it was way off. All of a sudden it just stopped being precise! Its basically useless now if I can't see exactly where its going to be!This tracker does what it is suppose to do for the most part, I love that there is not start up fee or any headache with having to call & set up an account with some company. It gives you 2 days service free with the purchase & the monthly/yearly payment is very cheap in my opinion compared to most. It has been a little glitchy at times, but nothing huge. I just wish it would tell you how long the device stayed at each location that it pings at. And I also wish that it would be able to tell you where its been when you are not checking (because it only gives you the location when you ask to locate the device) So basically if you were trying to keep track of a new driving teen or a cheating spouse, it might not be the very best because it won't show every single stop they made in between locations unless you are constantly on the phone/computer & keep hitting 'locate the device' button over & over. But for the price, I'm satisfied. I think next time I might get one of the ones that is NOT live tracking but it shows you all the past locations when the vehicle (or person) returns when you plug it into the computer.

Depends on Where you are
The media could not be loaded. If you're in the right area, it works great. However, when you're running off of GSM (which I was a lot of the time), it's not as accurate.

PSL and PVT
Not happy. PSL and PVT battery indicator is inaccurate. PSL shows multiple location on Heatmap. On and off switch on PVT is broken, I need a replacement or refund.

Disappointing
The first thing that caught my attention was that these trackers will be obsolete in a few years when 3G networks will no longer be in service. I figured I'd make due with this tracker regardless of that eventual problem. Then I received 2 trackers, intended for my luggage, and realized how much I do not want to make due.Tracker 1 charged up fine and I was able to confirm it was in working order after having difficulty getting a location while in my home. It did not pinpoint the location. It was more of a 2 mile radius. Outside the home it was accurate. The battery maintained at 100% for several hours.Tracker 2 was about the same except for immediately after charging, it began to rapidly discharge. After turning it on, it dropped to 95%. After 2hrs it dropped to below 90%.On my trip across the country, I placed trackers in 2 checked bags. Upon the layover and final destination (about 10hr trip), Tracker 1 popped up in all locations and I was left with 80% battery. Tracker 2 popped up at the layover, but has not worked since. It had 70% battery life.At the hotel I charged both and Tracker 1 works, but not #2. They both turned on and lights flashed the same. On the land portion of my trip I placed those trackers in the same bags. Only Tracker 1 pops up. Tracker 2 is still showing its last location at my initial layover. I am. It impressed. I was going to return #2 for the battery issue alone. I don't want to deal with the current problem with any tracker. I plan to return both. My initial plan was to add a cell phone to my plan and use that as the gps. That's probably the smarter and more efficient way to go.

So important and worth every penny
An absolute lifesaver. My husband was missing for more than five hours the week before I purchased this product. You can imagine what I went through. Now with this cool GPS in his pocket I literally can see from my phone where he is. Such piece of mind.

LET BUYER BE WARE...
As a retired Product Development Engineer with a Degree and 50 years of experience, I may be a bit over-critical. I have always said that if a little, 90 y.o. lady has trouble using it then the design needs fixing. This product has several flaws, in my opinion and should still be in the development stage and not the Retail Market. It is not my intent to redesign this product here (I usually get paid for doing this) but rather to alert prospective buyers that they may be getting more grief than benefit. As an example, I have already wasted three days of valuable time and I still do not have a working, reliable system.Today, Amazon authorized its return and a full refund with shipping paid. The idea is a good one and the price seems reasonable. It just needs some refinement before I can recommend it.
