We've had a lot of cheap solar lights over the years, mainly strings of lights that turn out to be rubbish and break as soon as there's any wind, so wanted something a bit more substantial. This is a really nice looking light and more importantly a lot more substantial and sturdy.Assembly is dead easy, and once positioned in a spot that gets some sunlight you are away. The light lasts for ages (I can't say exactly how long but it's way past my bedtime!). It's not going to illuminate your garden like a floodlight obviously as it's more of a feature light but as you can hopefully see from the photo it's actually fairly bright and does provide a bit of illumination if you are outside near it.

I have several solar lights in the garden and even at this time of year they light up at night if we get a little sunshine in the daytime hours; unfortunately there is very little today, but I will add photos when lit up later if I can.What attracted me to this solar light is basically the unusual shaped surround, a mystical sun. I was so pleased to see and feel the solidness of the construction when I took it out of the box; it really is worth paying that little bit more for something that is going to last into the summer months and beyond. Simple to put together and then just switch the solar reflector on and push into the ground; a fork shaped spike hold the unit in place steadier then a single spike.Even when not lit up it is a striking piece of garden decor, especially as most of the garden has gone into hibernation at the moment.Very nice quality solar light; tempted to get the two piece set now; would recommend.

This seems quite a robust product and the lamp that lit gave out a good light. It has only had one day's sunshine up until now, so just wondering whether a second day in the sun will give the other lamp a chance to charge. They were in virtually the same location so not hopeful. I will probably have to return both lights. Well had another closer look on day 2. I noticed that whilst the "Sun" had a clearly marked off and on, the moon had off in the centre and 1 at one side and 2 on the other. After leaving it in the sun for a couple of hours I brought it into a dark room in the house; there was no light. pushed the switch in the opposite direction and the light came on. Put it back in the garden and the light came on in the evening. When the lights are on the "Sun" lamp does not glow on the metalwork it is just a white light. It is quite a bright light, but not as pretty as shown in the picture.Update:The "Sun Lamp" has now stopped working, but it is too late to return to Amazon. You expect these lamps to last more than 6 weeks. I have a solar lamp installed on my wall that has worked well for over 2 years. I am hoping to get them changed under warranty.

Unfortunately after only a few weeks one of the lights stopped working. The supplier set out a replacement. Sadly none of the lights worked for longer than a couple of months. Shame because I loved them. We have a southfacing garden that gets full light and I have some solar lights that light up even in winter because if the sunlight.

These lights are absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to see them set up in the garden. I’ve bought them for my wife as a present as she loves having different lights and shapes lit up. I’ve put them together and checked they are working and I already love them. Really well made and easy to set up. Very pleased and I’m sure she will love them.

They look good in the daylight, especially with the sun on them but they also look lovely in the dark with the solar lights on reflecting the design on a rather dull fence. I’ve given three stars for sturdiness and thickness only because they are, by their very nature, delicate. I plan to buy more.

I am frequently baffled by the reviews I see on here and this light is no exception. I placed in quite a shaded area as that is the space I wanted to fill on a wall and also best viewpoint from my house. I installed which was as easy as can be and thought I may or may not get a good light. It came on that evening and lasted well past by bed time ! Not sure why you would want it illuminate all through the night but I suppose that will be become more important on the longer darker nights as it is Summer ish here right now in the UK.To sum up currently think it was a great buy not withstanding how long it will perform

Definitely recommend these lights and the seller. I've bought these for myself and as gifts. As others have said, these are MUCH brighter, more solid and definitely better looking, than any others I've bought. I did have a problem with one of the solar batteries but the seller gave the best customer service I've had. Very quick reply and issue sorted...all within a few days total. Receivers have also loved them and I will be buying more as gifts etc.
