Great helmet. Feel very safe and seen.
I'm not sure why the hi viz yellow is literally half the price of the sand color but that's why I ordered the yellow. Immediately super comfortable and breathable. I ordered the large and it fits my head like it was fitted. I have a huge head, I typically wear size 8 hats but I think a proper fit would be 7-7/8 for context. Not very certain about safety but it seems to have all the proper certifications and from what I researched, Bern is a reputable brand. Couldn't do better for my commute on my ebike. The light is a neat touch, but not very useful for night rides other than the fact the red does also stand out. Just perfect for me.

Much better ventilation than my older Bern Alston helmet, and it includes a taillight!
My old eblke helmet is nine years old. It's an earlier-generation Bern helmet, an Alston. I've replaced the liner a couple of times already, and after nine years (and getting a much more powerful ebike recently) I wanted to upgrade to something with better torsional protection. The low-friction MIPS liner provides that torsional protection, by allowing the helmet to rotate slightly in any axis during an impact, without coming off of your head. This profoundly reduces torsional trauma to the brain, helping to prevent concussion and TBI.That's the safety-wonk benefit. The comfort benefit is that this helmet largely floats above my noggin and allows much better ventilation. It's profoundly cooler than my previous-gen Bern helmet, and it has less liner fabric to get soaked with sweat on hot days.I'm also a fan of the simple integrated (but removable) USB-rechargable tail light. It's got three or four modes (I just set it on 'blink' and forget it) and the battery gets me to work and back for two commutes before I think about charging it up again. It's not the cheapest e-bike rated helmet out there, but it's competitively priced and packed with features. Bern also has a good history of building durable helmets and supporting them for years.I'm very satisfied with mine, and I look forward to using it for many years.

An excellent helmet
My wife bought this to replace an expired helmet, and we wanted to make sure the new helmet had the best current safety ratings and technology (MIPS).This helmet looks great, and she says it is so light that it doesn’t feel like she’s wearing a helmet. Doesn’t appear to flow a lot of air.Deducting one star due to missing rear light. This appears to be a common issue with this product. I’ve written to Bern Helmets for a replacement.

Not for people with round heads
I bought this because I wanted a MIPS + NTA-8776 compliant helmet with a rear light. The overall build quality is good, although the interior maybe feels a bit too firm.Unfortunately, despite buying the right size for my overall head measurements, this helmet assumes your head is more of an oval shape, and mine is more like a beach ball, which made it squeeze too hard on the sides. It was painful to wear. So I returned it.

Helmet fits. (EDIT)
Helmet fits. Followed their sizing guide and it seems to fit alright. But the added light for the back came broken. Part of the clip that holds on the lens cover is broken on one side. Makes it difficult to make the switch work as well.No damage at all on any of the boxes. So, it wasn’t a shipping issue.Otherwise, should be a good helmet.(Long overdue) EDIT.The manufacturer quickly got back to me. They allowed me to order a replacement all free of charge.Super happy with the helmet as a whole now. Use it every time I’m rigging my bike. Fits well and I like the look of it.I’d recommend this helmet.

Lower quality than they used to make, worse fit
The visor head padding used to encircle your whole head and snap in with sturdy metal snaps in bern helmets and this new style just attaches with very weak adhesive and Velcro and only in the front of the helmet. The visor Velcro attachment points came off of the inside almost immediately and kept creeping into my eyes while riding. I had to remove the Velcro points and reattach them with superglue. My head is within the range of the Large size and the helmet seems to be shaped for non human heads. Human heads are slightly elliptical but this helmet is just a big circle so it’s far too loose on the sides and in order to get it so it doesn’t move you have to crank the dial in the rear far too tight. The light on the back is nice though.

Great helmet, crap light
For a helmet that's over $100, the light they used is amazingly bad. It hardly registers, no way to tell if it's on while it's on your head (yeah it's that weak, I tried cupping my hand over it to see the red reflection, nothing even though it was on and strobing). It's also a straight up b**** to take out to charge. The rest of the helmet is pretty nice, seems well designed if you take the light out of the equation. The locking system works well and is comfortable and the ability to swap out the visor is nice. I honestly would have paid an extra $30-40 if they had a nicer light. I would even prefer a hardwired light with a usb in the helmet to charge it if that meant the actual light was of better quality/brighter.Overall I'm not entirely disappointed but if you're buying this helmet for the light, run, run far far away.I'm really considering just filling in the light hole with molding and slapping some red reflective tape over it. It will probably be brighter than the light, would need zero charging and I wouldn't have to guess or take my whole helmet off to see if the light is working.

one of the best
One of the best helmets around. Safe, comfy and posh. The read LED light is an additional bonus.

Bref passer votre chemin.

Git the helmet without a tail light
Finally got my hudson. But i was disappointed. Helmet was in plastic bag pavked in simple paper box. Without original box. And general disappointment was no light.
