Strong, beautiful and easy!
I was very impressed with the quality of this awning. I had looked at other cheaper awnings and this one is definitely better. The frame is more robust and the awning material is stronger. Installation was quite simple. All that is required is to mount two brackets to the building and then place the awning into the brackets and lock it in with two bolts. The only step that requires two people is lifting the awning into the brackets. The POS info makes it appear that it has to be mounted 10' high, but that is not so. It can be mounted as low as 7' high. It is simple to change the angle of the awning to suit the height. Cranking out the awning is easy but rolling it back up is a little more difficult. It requires about 52 turns of the crank and is just hard enough to make you a little tired. Good exercise! I mounted it over our deck and It looks great and provides relief from the hot sun when needed.

Great awning, simple install.
Shipping was quick via truck (although the company website could never track its travel to my home(Pilot trucking). Product is exactly what I needed for my home to provide some shade from the Savannah summer sun. The frame, fasteners, brackets and extension gear are of high quality, and the awning extend very easily. One word of caution though, if you are going to adjust the tilt of the awning, do it when the awning is less than fully extended. The cranks move easily then, otherwise you can’t move it vertically up, down yes! The color is a very neutral gray and the fabric is of high quality. Remember, you get what you pay for. Buy a $150 awning and that is what you get. The warranty is 5 years and I do not doubt that it will be around still providing us shady comfort. Oh, if your installation is like mine was and you need to fasten it to the roof to make the height requirements for installation look to purchase the aluminum adjustable brackets from A1S sold on Amazon. They are amazing!

GREAT 14' Slim Awning ---IF !! you can get it again ...
This is an EXCELLENTLY made awning. It arrives as close to " Already installed -- Open Awning " readiness as possible. Install only 3 mounting brackets, then hang (with a couple friends -- it's HEAVY) The 14 foot length was precisely what II needed; most companies are not making this length. The ACRYLIC fabric is as expected for higher-end outdoor pillows, cushions etc. Acylic is the fabic of choice for durability in exterior elements of rain and sun. ('Sunbrella' fabrics, for example ALL use Acrylic, NOT the cheaper polyester or blends as most other awning companies seem to be offering ... Cheaper, less durable, and will need to be replaced much sooner. ) The Burgundy acrylic fabric is deep, rich looking quality; There were two 14' Burgundy lengths remaining on Amazon, none on the website for Avaning. I emailed Avaning directly. They had none and he encouraged me to buy through Amazon, so I did. Next day the other remaining one was advertised for $1,738, a $1,000 increase in one day!I paid $788 + taxes. At the time in April when I ordered, there was another seller with 1 Grey 14' length at $1,735 ! I emailed that seller thinking it was a mistake; and thought I preferred the gray... "Was price a mistake?" I never heard back. Someone is using Amazon for "last items available... " and making a killing on Supply and Demand -- I guess.$788 seemed a bit high as I'd researched in April. But some of the brands at $300 cheaper or more... you had to roll out the "Polyester" fabric on a huge floor (aircraft hanger?) and roll into the roller --yourself...! Suggest you Read Install Instructions before you buy.Quality and readiness to hang, make Avaning a fair value at the price I paid. It appears that perhaps Avaning might be going out of business?? Site seems sketchy on inventory available. But who knows as the Pandemic wanes...

Great choice if you want a nice awning
Prompt shipping. Item as described. Shipping carton had fist-sized puncture upon delivery but product was undamaged and all parts were still inside. Product was packed extremely well, over boxed multiple times and tightly secured to a wooden pallet. Slight cosmetic issue which their customer service addressed immediately and to my full satisfaction. Installation was very straightforward and definitely requires 2 people (had hoped I could do it myself but weight and length of product understandably requires 2 people). If you are reasonably handy and can get another person to help, you shouldn't have to hire someone to do the install. Couldn't get 1 of the 2 wall brackets into a stud so I am getting a third bracket to hopefully make it more secure. Love their easy method of angling the awning. Only thing I would ask is that they offer more color options for the fabric. Reasonable price with free shipping considering the cost of competing products. Highly recommend this product and company. Note I was NOT given this product free or at a substantial discount in return for this review.

A fine product, and good Support services.
In the middle of summer, 2018, I ordered an Advaning awning for our back deck. It was a manual retractable version. After installing the awning, I had an issue with the hand crank – it was usable, but did not operate smoothly. When I discussed the issue with Yaritza, the customer service representative, she suggested ways to correct the situation; but when those turned out to be ineffective, she immediately sent a replacement. After using the awning all summer and into the fall, I am very satisfied with the awning itself, with the process of DIY installation, and with the help that I received from customer service when I had an issue.I recommend this company and its products to anyone who in interested in buying an awning.Afterthought: I am a senior citizen, and I can handle the manual cranking. But perhaps if I had it to do over again, I would order an electric model.
