As a knife collector I'm very happy with this knife for day to day use. Its sharp, holds the sharpness well, its comfortable to use, easy to clean and dry, and cuts wonderfully. Recommended for home and professional use.

This is a very good knife. I purchased this as an emergency replacement knife when my expensive Japanese gyuto went missing a month ago. (It has not reappeared, thank the gods.) Out of the box this knife was sharp, but not SHARP by my standards and my standards are very high. I took it to the stones and this is where the big surprise came. It was darned easy to sharpen, by far the easiest to sharpen of any stainless steel knife I have known. It was easy to raise a burr, and I finished it on an 8000 grit water stone. From beginning to end, the sharpening process took only about two minutes. And, in the month that I have had it, it has kept a very good edge, and I have not had to touch up the edge in any way.Looking back, I probably should have purchased the 8-inch version. The knife is light enough and has good balance, but the length is a tad unwieldy. This is a very good knife and an outstanding value.

This is my second Victorinox Swiss Army chef's knife... used the previous one for many years and it still looks brand new... this one was for my mom. Very sharp and sturdy knife, the handle has a really nice grip as well

This knife replaced my Cutco Chef's knife. Cutting is smooth, effortless and precise. I am replacing all of my Cutco knives with Victorinox. Great price point and quality.
