My plumber recommended.
I have bought for all three of out toilets to replace aging guts. Water flow is a little slower than the old units, but I like the easy installation, and adjustability. Gets rid of the tank ball that always is in the way when working inside the bowl.

Quality part & easy install
Installed perfectly in just a few minutes and worked as expected. No instructions are included since this is a 'Pro' grade part but it's ridiculously easy to install. The devil is in the details though and you need to be careful about hand tightening the fill valve to the tank as well as the water line from the wall to the bottom of the fill valve. There is a reason why these parts don't have flats for wrenches but rather wings for your fingers, snug things down finger tight but don't get carried away.I installed 3 in my house and all of them are working perfect.(Edited formatting due to phone display variance)

Good value and quality
My plumber told me that the pro version existed. He said the pro version has the red cap and metal (brass) threads. Otherwise, it is pretty much the same as the consumer version (black cap and plastic threads). This was straightforward and simple to install (particularly since it replaced an existing consumer version). Interestingly, the nut that holds the flush valve to the tank is still plastic, so just be careful threading it onto the brass part - any undue stress on the plastic nut might result in a leak down the road. The other nice thing is that this is only $3 more than the consumer version at a big-box hardware store!

Excellent replacement part
Our plumber told us to skip the box stores and find this professional-grade model online. Easy to install. Took about a week to get though (I think)

brass is much stronger mere plastic
i tried to put a brass fitting on a plastic ballcock and easily stripped the treads. this product has a brass fitting that fit snug with the brass connector i wanted to install. it was a tad difficult to install, no fault of the product, but because how the tank bowl is situated and where the water line is positioned on the wall under and behind the tank. the price is right, the brass is right, and this product is sitting right in may tank where it most definitely belongs for the peace of my waterfloodphobic mind.

Easily installed myself, 68 yr old lady..
Saved hundreds of dollars, by installing this part to stop my toilet from running. Husband was adamant we needed to call a plumber. Google installation process which took all of 20 minutes or less..trust fluidmaster!

A Brass Shank is Always Better Than Plastic
I already had a Fluidmaster flush valve in my toilet, however, I needed one with a brass shank in order to install a bidet. This did what I needed and it works well, just like the previous one. One bonus is that this pro version is a lot quieter than the standard version. If you are just replacing an old flush valve and wondering if you should get this one or the one with the plastic shank, get this one; the price isn't much more and the brass shank will outlast the valve, whereas the plastic shank variety have the potential to dry out/crack after a time and could possibly start to leak.
