Absolutely Magical
I know magic-bad but I canāt describe it any other way. Thereās so much of the Bible that becomes clear with this interpretation or rendition of the stories found in them. I want to read them all.

hey fictional story of Jesus
This is a fictional story of Jesusās last days on earth. The book uses verses from the Bible and the old and New Testament to tell fictional story of how Jesus and god father guns the false gods of the earth. I found the book very interesting and somewhat follows the Bible. I recommend this book for those who like to read biblical fiction.

I accidentally discovered this author while researching information about Noah's life after the Great Flood. Brian has eight boo
How can I write a review for Brain Godawa's book series for Chronicles of the Nephilim? I accidentally discovered this author while researching information about Noah's life after the Great Flood. Brian has eight books in his series. He is a Hollywood Screenwriter. These book are written as novels. I thought this ought to be interesting. I recall walking out of the movie "Noah" starring Russell Crow. However, I ordered the first three books in the series, Noah Primeval, Enoch Primordial, Gilgamesh Immortal. I have since read Abraham Allegiant and Joshua Valiant. I skipped books Six and Seven to read the last book in his series, Jesus Triumphant.I reminded myself numerous times these book are novels, yet I found they had a lot of scholarly history. Brain is more than an ordinary screenwriter. He offers an Appendix in each book. Here, I found what might be his motivation. He has looked beyond the stereotypical basics to create these stories for historic characters from the Bible. He allows himself permission and freedom from the close minded traditionalists that never would take the liberty to write a novel for these Saints from our Christian Bible. Brain does not preach in these books, but his Appendices do teach. These books are not appropriate for a recently born again Christian, just my opinion.Would I recommend his book series? Yes and No. As all students know, you do not take advanced studies without the foundation from a prerequisite. I suppose a Lord of the Ring fan might disagree. Brain does have a very creative imagination for his story line. Of course, I was interested in how he would deal with and weaved various Biblical events into his story. He did a good job. Did he present things that would change the meaning of the Bible? I did not find it. He is a professional for his craft. I thought at times he overstated the sexual debauchery. His battle scene fit right in with other Hollywood movies for his genre. I will give this author five stars

Bible-based novel as to what it might have been really like...
This book helped to bring the Bible even more alive for me. The characters are so real, just like living, breathing people. You can feel how they must have felt. This is the kind of novel I like to read. One that is based on truth, comes alive like watching a 3D movie and yet fills out the empty spaces of how it was. Or at least how it probably was. I've always known there was more to the Bible than what I was taught in Sunday school and at church. And yet, people would get upset when I ask questions. They wanted to know how dare I ask questions. It's real simple, people, God gave me a mind to think with and to ask questions. I ask Him questions all the time, and I get answers although it might be a while before He answers. That is usually because He wants me to search out the answers. Look, in school, you wouldn't learn if the teacher always told you the answer instead of teaching you how to figure it out for yourself. When I can't figure it out, then He either answers or gives me hints as to how and/or where to get my answers; most of which are in the Bible. But you need a concordance to look up the words in their original languages. I prefer Strong's, and I prefer a KJV Bible. But that is just my personal preference.

This will send you back to the Bible to study it deeper with this new, vivid picture in your mind's eye. LOVE LOVE LOVE
Wow, not what I expected, but so powerful and neat perspective! Even though this is Biblical fiction and lots of story-line filled in, it still offers a visual in my mind to round out the powerful 'reclaiming of inheritance' that took place with Jesus' death. For years it has bothered me that more pastors don't delve into and teach about the critical spiritual battle and events that took place in those 3 days after Jesus (physical) death. It seems we talk crucifixion & sacrifice, then skip ahead to the resurrection. ??? Those are powerful and absolutely part of it, but why don't we go on discuss the absolute "butt-kicking" that Satan and his fallen ('watchers') endured at the hands of God/Christ once Jesus physically died? That spiritual warfare is THE key. Brian Godawa's story-telling version of this is so juicy to read -- knowing God absolutely blind-sided the enemy. I am a long-time Christian and this genre of Biblical fiction only complements the Word. Nothing I've read in this series alarmed me or seemed to contradict or twist scripture -- This series offers a very vivid picture of real people and real spiritual warfare, and, if anything, will send you back into the Bible to study it deeper with this new, vivid picture in your mind's eye. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Wow!
What a wonderful series of books describing the physical and spiritual battles between the seed of the and the seed of the serpent. I know that these books are a work of fiction but they do describe in wonderful detail the world in which the biblical stories are set and when you do look into the bible you realise that there are a lot more references to giants then Are first thought. A must read.
