Disposable Product
Was great at first but it fell apart. There are 2 design design flaws that I experienced.1) the base of the neck rubs against the handle which tightens the clamp and damages the leather.2)the end of the neck that allows for 360 movement has limited repetitive use and breaks

5 stars originally, then down to 1 when it broke, up to 3 when they refunded me, and now a 1 because the 2nd one broke as well!
UPDATE #3: Well, I have tried this product 2 times now. Thats how much I liked the design and ease of use to try it twice. I am so disappointed that after buying it a 2nd time, it again BROKE AFTER ONLY 6 WEEKS!!! Now just to be clear- I was very gentle with this, especially after it broke the first time, I was even more gentle the 2nd time. But, when you use it at bedtime, you do have to make some adjustment when you use it.If you are someone who uses a stand and absolutely does NOT touch it in any way but to put the iPad in and out, you may be fine. But, if you have to make ANY adjustment at all, I would not buy this because it will snap in the area of the upper moveable joint.Update number two: I took a chance and went to Amazon customer service and told them that it right at six weeks and was very pleasantly surprised to get an email the next day telling me they had credited my account for the full price. I'm not sure if this was through the company or this was just Amazon doing it but either way I have to give kudos to the customer service for at least standing behind the product . For this reason I will up my one star, to a 3 star. It was really nice while it worked, and it really sucked when it broke, but they get credit for refunding me for a product that did not work.Update number one: After six weeks of normal use it just broke. I went to go return it and apparently it's two weeks over the return date so I'm pretty upset..I've owned this gooseneck stand for about two weeks now and I am really enjoying it, especially at bedtime. Due to disabilities I am sleeping in a recliner, and so I have it clamped to a portable table next to my recliner. (See photo). I owned another brand previously, and that was made out of metal and was very heavy and lasted only a few months before it broke. I wasn't that happy with it anyway because of the way it held the iPad in its holder.I decided to try this one and boy am I glad that I did. It's not that heavy, and it screws onto just about anywhere very easily with not a lot of effort. This is important because I don't have a lot of strength left in my hands. However it appears to be pretty secure in holding the iPad Mini 4 in place while I watch TV at night. I can fall asleep and I don't have to worry about my iPad mini falling on the floor. (I'm not using it for an iPad Pro so I can't answer to whether it is secure or not with an iPad pro but it certainly works well with the iPad mini). If I had any complaints, it would be that because of the lightness of the arm, it does tend to wiggle a bit after you touch the screen. If you don't stop it by placing you hand on it, it will continue to wobble, so you just have to touch it gently to stop the wiggling. Considering I use it to watch TV shows and movies this is not a big issue for me because once I get my show set up I'm not touching the iPad anymore anyway. So far, so good. Hopefully it remains strong and doesn't eventually weaken and then break like my last one did from the OTHER company.I am using it for an iPad mini 4. At a price of $19.99 I have to say it's a very good bargain. Will update in a few months after I see if it continues to hold strong. But so far I am very very happy with it!! (i'm even thinking of ordering another one for a friend of mine).

Too bouncy!
I like it. I do! I think it is solidly built and cleanly constructed, but the basic engineering premise is the flaw. It is a quite rigid and can be an effort to shift around, but they thought that through, and have both a heavy portion and thinner portion. The heavy portion (most of the length) stays pretty rigid and needs a little extra effort to change, while the thinner portion (near the tablet mount) is flexible enough to shift angles and tilt on the fly without too much effort, yet still stiff enough to hold a heavy iPad in place.I thought this type of mount would work for me, but it turns out a long solid flexible bar… um… bounces. Yep… If you knock into it, or into what it's mounted to, you get some bounciness that does't immediately cease unless you hold it steady for a second or two. It's long enough to pendulum a whole inch or two. And even though a pretty rigid product (and it is!), it is just the nature of flexible material to bounce. If they had made it any more rigid, it would not have been flexible enough to adjust, and I now believe, it would have bounced anyway, like a sign post in the wind. So… Since I got it to mount to the headboard for reading in bed, and so when… I move, it bounces. I bang the headboard, it bounces. I touch my iPad or Kindle (it holds both nicely!), it bounces! I have gotten into the habit of holding it with one hand, while I swipe or tap away with the other, or hold it one handed while advancing pages (on the Kindle) with my thumb, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a mount. It works great when I load up a movie or some such and am just laying their watching it, but my goal is reading, not watching, and you have to advance pages frequently to get far into a book. There is nothing wrong with the manufacturing or method of design. The clamp and mounts on each end are awesome. It is definitely a solid product. What kills it, is the basic concept. I now think even a jointed, more rigid, mount would still have pendular issues. I may have to just stop being lazy, and use what nature gave me to hold my tablets in place.

BROKE within 2 months!
Was pleased at first as the item seemed overbuilt. However, after less than 2 months of regular use it SNAPPED! Broken! Going to contact the company to report the issue. Seems like a design issue. ***Update*** the company provided a warranty replacement that one broke too in the exact same spot!! Defective design.
