Review: Nice sturdy stand that's exactly as described - My workplace issued a new requirement that we all have our webcams on in meetings, but my previous webcam perched on top of my monitor and thus blocked part of the monitor. I don't have a lot of desk space, so I wanted something that could sit just behind the monitor and raise the camera high enough to look over the monitor without blocking my view at all. This works perfectly. It's nice and sturdy, but the extension part can be adjusted/bent however you need. There's an additional ball on the top that lets you angle the camera to ensure it's straight (or not, if you want) after you finish arranging the extension piece. The base is heavy, to keep everything in place when you're done. Overall, it gives a lot more adjustment options than I personally need, so I think it would cover much more extensive needs than my simple application, and it seems like it would stay nicely in place no matter how you adjust it.
Review: Modification to support camera without threaded base - This is a great base at a great price, but my web cam (Logitech C910) does not have a threaded base. Rather than buy a new cam, I adapted it to work with this base. Simple, but certainly a warranty killer for the camera (mine was out-of-warranty). The camera has 3 hinged sections but 2 are just the clamps for holding it to a monitor. I drilled an 11/64" hole through the middle section - which was the exact size to allow the threaded part of the new base to slip through the camera clamp, but not too big such that the camera would not drop below the flange at the bottom of the threads. Check the size with a drill bit hole card before you drill anything!!! This hole allowed me to put the camera on the threaded ball at the top of the base goose neck, and then simply screw the threaded plastic disc on top of the camera to hold it. Works like a champ. A few cable ties around the goose neck and it even looks great.

**Q: Does this allow for vertical/portrait mounting of a webcam (vs. horizontal/landscape)?**
A: Yes, at the end of the gooseneck is a ball and socket joint.  You can rotate it in any reasonable direction, and then lock it in place with the thumb screw.

**Q: Does this stand work with the Logitech C925-e Webcam?**
A: Yes, it would. I use the Logitech C920 with the stand … and actually bought two more of the stands days after getting the first one. One for my work setup, and another for personal. The third for my wife, but she has a different webcam. Both of mine use the C920. Solid, heavy, and easy to adjust.

**Q: What is the diameter of the widest part of the pole? (Not the base)**
A: 1 1/8 inch on lower section of the pole,  3/4 inch at the top section of the pole that slides up and down.    1 1/4 inch at the top of the pole where the camera attaches.   Note, these sizes don't count the knobs at the center and top of the pole where the connectors are coupling.  Those two knobs at the couplings are almost 2 inches in diameter.   Hope this helps

**Q: What is the screw hole size on the bottom of the adapter?**
A: I'm looking at the Puroma Webcam Desk top Stand User Manual and it states 3/8" thread screw hole size on the bottom of the adapter ( "gooseneck"). The screw thread size at the top of the adapter is 1/4".  Hope that helps. The webcam stand is well constructed and engineered for multiple locations.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect

This stand is excellent and meets my needs almost perfectly. The one exception is that I have it situated BEHIND my monitor (not a laptop) and it could use a bit more height. I had to raise it up about 6 or 8 extra inches so the camera would go just over the top of my screen. This is the best location for when I have my Zoom up and want the other person to feel like I'm looking at them instead of off at a camera. But the goose neck works perfectly for dropping down a bit into the monitor space to get this effect.
