Good stuff!
I have been feeding brown rice, with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, this to my 65 pound dog, for the last 3 years... I swear this added years onto his life! Brown rice really is good for dogs, and if you can do it, please do it! If there's any extra left over- mama has some with olive oil and butter lol. This is great for soy sauce and fish or poultry dinners as well. Good price it arrived within 48 hours later, I'm a happy customer, and will continue to keep buying.

5 stars for health and value
If you are managing your Glycemic Index (GI) or tracking your glucose spikes with a CGM, this brown rice is a fantastic pantry staple—specifically because of how well it handles "retrogradation." Many budget brown rices turn into a mushy porridge when cooked, but this variety maintains a distinct, firm structure. This is crucial for health-conscious cooks because grain integrity is directly linked to digestion speed. The firmer the grain, the slower the gastric emptying, and the lower the insulin spike. My "Longevity" Preparation Method: I use this rice specifically for the "cooling hack" to increase resistant starch. I cook a large batch with a teaspoon of coconut oil, let it cool in the fridge for 24 hours, and then reheat it throughout the week. Texture: Even after reheating (I use the steam function on my rice cooker), these grains don't disintegrate. They stay separate and chewy, which is exactly what you want for lower GI impact. Flavor: It has a mild, nutty profile that pairs well with healthy fats (like olive oil or avocado) without overpowering them. Value: Compared to premium health-store brands, the quality control here is surprisingly high. I found very few broken kernels or husks in the bag. The Verdict: If you are just boiling rice to eat immediately, this is tasty. But if you are using food science techniques (like cooling and reheating) to turn your carbs into functional prebiotic food, this rice is the perfect substrate. Highly recommended for meal preppers.

Good value
This is brown rice, what is there to really say? It's easy to rinse before use. I've never really paid attention to grain length since I'm not trying to write my name on it at a mall kiosk. I have a rice cooker, so I don't pay attention to the cook time, but I think in general, brown rice might take a little longer than white rice. Once cooked, it has a nice, soft, light sticky texture with homey, aromatic flavor. It did take maybe 3 weeks to arrive though. It's a good value and I planned ahead.

I’m on my soapbox lol
Excellent value. I can’t advise on the taste as I use it to make homemade dog food. Which is not as unhinged as it sounds. My vet is very happy with her diet ( lean meat, veg n fruits that are dog safe, brown rice and eggs). There are so many recalls on dog food for lead, plastic pieces, salmonella etc. Making it myself is healthier and also cheaper than quality dog food. I have a ziplock bag in the freezer I put veggie scraps in ( pepper tops, green bean ends, carrot tips and peelings, over ripe fruit etc). Anything with freezer burn, meat I defrosted to make for dinner and we ordered Chinese instead gets re frozen and labeled dog etc). So that’s all “free” and I supplement with family pack of chicken breasts on sale from $1.99-$2.99 lb all the time, $1 bag of frozen spinach, peas n carrots etc. There is very little dogs can’t eat. Ok… I’m off my soapbox lol. Sorry I’m passionate about it. It’s healthier for the dogs and better for the planet.

My dogs think I'm a 5-star chef now
Bought this for the dogs, not for us. Just want to be clear about that upfront—this is fancy canine cuisine we're talking about here. Mixed some of this brown rice into their kibble, and suddenly I'm getting looks like I've been holding out on them their whole lives. Tails wagging at maximum velocity. The kind of enthusiasm usually reserved for when I grab the leash or drop cheese on the floor. The rice itself? It's rice. It cooks. It's brown. It does exactly what rice is supposed to do, which apparently is make me "Parent of the Year" in dog world. Is it weird that I'm weirdly proud when they lick their bowls clean now? Maybe. Do I sometimes taste-test it to make sure it's up to their standards? I plead the fifth. But honestly, it's perfectly fine rice that happens to cost less than the boutique "dog-specific" stuff, so everyone wins. My dogs give it 11/10. I give it a solid "yeah, it's rice" out of 10. Would buy again because their happiness is worth the 30 seconds it takes to scoop some into their bowls.

Extra-Protein-Fortified Rice!!!
As at least one other reviewer noted, there are worms in this product. I bought two, and both were science projects. After a couple months of purchase, I noticed that there were a few little moth-like insects fly around my apartment. I was wondering where they were coming from. Turns out, a few larvae managed to escape from the open bag and had pupated somewhere here in the Enchanted Ghetto. I went to make rice the other day and noticed "moving grains of rice"--same size, same color as the rice. Amazon is very good about things like this. Despite being 3 months outside the return window, I got a full refund--as anyone should considering the circumstances. The worst thing of all is that I'm killing dozens of these little flying moths all over my apartment. Many apparently escaped from their rice-bag prison, but having essentially come from an infinite food source, I imagine I'll be killing many more of these stupid things for weeks. This is super annoying!
