Is the shaft all one piece of steel?

Thank you for your question. The shaft of our Vibration Isolator is NOT a one piece structure. Our vibration isolator has two metal studs bonded within the rubber on both sides.

Does the wide part go on bottom on top?

Can this be used in a Horizontal mounting (sheering force) or just vertical (compression force). The weight supported would less than 50#

I use mine as horizontal mounts for the fan assembly and motor for the blower on my furnace. Working great so far - after a year of use - but bear in mind that I'm not an engineer and I don't know what you use you have in mind for them. Every shop I went to said my blower unit couldn't be repaired because of its age - about 65 years old - and that I needed to install a new furnace system which would have cost me about ten grand.

I am desperate, can this little rubber feet really quiet dowm the ac condenser outside of my bed room ?

These rubber stud works well as vibration absorber. However, mounting location is very important as well, because you don't want to sleep beside a runing compresser. In your case, you should consider relocate your outdoor unit. Better talk to a techniciant.
