lightweight and flexible
I bought this to replace the torch on my Sip hg2200p TIG inverter - it works brilliantly, though it's a size 17 I can use my existing #26 collets and lenses. the single tube/cable is much lighter and more flexible than the OEM torch, and has the same electrical and gas fitting. I spliced into the switch cable on my orignal torch and added a cheap foot switch which again makes the torch easier to control. the £36 I paid for this is a remarkable bargain. The included stubby gas lens and pyrex cup work fine, but the lens and collet are for 2.4mm tungstens which I rarely use, the visibility thru the pyrex cup is a revelation, I'll invest in a couple of smaller ones at some stage

The hose is good, but the torch is runbish
Unfortunately, the only good thing about this product is the hose. The rubber seal on the head has a split in it.The gas cup was also chipped... When I grabbed the bag to open it, the loose fragment of glass cut through the bag and sliced my finger open. (I couldn't see that it was broken before I grabbed it)I plugged the torch into my Lincoln Aspect, and welded up a 0.8mm stainless tube testpiece. The included consumables were awful, so I fitted Furick consumables to give it a fighting chance. (#12 Fupa)The hose is very nice to use and I actually quite like it, however the torch is quite uncomfortable and unbalanced in the hand.I also noticed that the torch was leaking gas from the swiveling head (likely due to the split seal)It was worth giving it a try, however I wouldn't recommend buying one... Stick to CK Worldwide.I'll reuse the hose, but I'll probably turn the torch into a lamp or something useful 🤣

This slim, triggerless torch is ideal for the Sherman DIGITIG AC/DC Multipro with foot pedal.
I've not used this highly versatile torch yet but it feels like it's excellent quality all round and the head can be rotated 360 degrees and locked in any position, unlike regular flexible heads that still won't allow the torch to aim downwards whilst holding them comfortably below the weld level like a using a magnifying glass to inspect the joint. This will preclude the need to stand above the workpiece or hold the torch at a fatiguing height along raised welds around eye level as it will aim backwards on itself like a high reach candle snuffer. The handle grip is very slim and should be more like holding a pen than a welding torch and the approximately 4m hose is super flexible and soft with quality 35-50 terminals. I don't know what difference a 35-70 makes but it may even be a typo' as my Sherman welder has 35-50 sockets and this torch fits perfectly, including the quick release gas connector. It will need to be used with a gas pedal/foot switch or hand regulator valve control.Needless to say, good gloves and eye protection are essential, as always.
