Takes a long time to dry. (Edit: also bleeds)
I'm not taking stars off for this, since I am using this ink in a way that the package says not to.I see why these are "not recommend for other writing instruments" as it says on the box. They absolutely fit into the Pilot Kakuno pen, and the color selection and price seem great. However these take noticably longer to dry then the ink that comes with these pens, and can still be smudged after drying when used in a Hobonichi (on tomoe river paper.)I'm new to fountain pens, so I'm not going to hold this against the ink, as this feels more like user error or part or the learning curve to me, but I figured it would be useful for other people to know. With that said, I used these fountain pens (Kakuno pens with Namiki black ink as well as a couple of shades of this mixable stuff) on the Amazon Basics legal pad, and they worked great. No feathering like on more basic paper, and a lot less smudgable. Two of the shades didn't smudge at all after drying on this paper (Turquoise and pink). The blue did, but it took a decent amount of pressure. Still, depending on how you write, it may be enough to give you issues. So these might work fine on other kinds of paper, and it looks like you get different levels drying/smudging from different shades (I literally couldn't move/smudge the turquoise writen with a thick medium tip after it dried, but the thin lines from the Blue writen in fine tip still could be smudged a couple of hour later.)The price is good, and there are a lot of fun colors, but I can see why these aren't recommend for everday writing. They don't preform reliably across all colors and would likely collect negative reviews if they where recommend for everyday pens.Edit: oh wow. This ink also bleeds through Tomoe River paper. That is a feat. Still not taking off any stars, since again I am not using it as specified, just sharing this information. (It doesn't immediately bleed, but anywhere where I lingered or went back over something has absolutely bled through to the other side.)

darn good ink
Finally made the switch from felt tipped markers to a pilot parallel for practicing calligraphy last year. I wish I did it sooner; my letters feel so much more precise. Came here looking for more colors, and this 3-pack was perfect. So many colors + such a good deal!! The ink is always smooth and stays where I put it.

Fine colors
I love pilot parallel pens and use them for calligraphy. For a cheap set of cartridges, the ink colors are really beautiful- except the red and black. Green is particularly beautiful. The orange has a kind of wonderful chalky texture that’s quite nice. The purple is deep and hypnotic. The brown is intensely dark and rich. The blue is alright. What else. They’re good. After I’m done using the inks, I wash and save the cartridges to refill with my own inks, using a syringe. Each cartridge gets a good amount of uses, but the plastic does wear out and split eventually (from squeezing them to get the ink flowing when I first load them).Parallel pens are super for learning calligraphy. Just keep them clean. If you get a pen, these cartridges, a blunt-tip syringe and some of your own choices of ink bottles (a lot of the Windsor newton calligraphy inks are fine colors), you’ll really have a good kit to start the hobby.

Air fresh mishap?
The product itself was good. It looked like there may have been some of that melted Scentsy wax spilled on the boxes because there was flowery smelling wax in the bubble mailer and on the boxes, but it didn't hurt the product any.

Convenient, great color assortment
I love these inks for ease of use in my pilot parallel pen. I keep the pen on hand at all times for practice. The colors can be easily mixed from one pen to another creating beautiful shades. The ink has a nice smooth flow. These inks are not permanent though so I just use them for practice.

驚いた
値段からして、ひと箱だけとは思わなかった。全色、ひと箱ずつ買う値段と同等の金額。久しぶりに買い物失敗した。
