Finally Found a Great Tasting Sugar Replacement
I have used every single artificial sweetener available--from saccharin to Nutrasweet and Splenda, but let's be honest, they all taste like chemicals. And to make matters worse, I had some weird reaction to Splenda where I kept going to the urgent care for some disturbing symptoms that had come on suddenly. The ER doctor asked me if there was anything that had changed in my diet; he advised me to remove the new food to see if the symptoms went away. I removed Splenda, and voila, no more urgent care trips. In walks Erythritol and the whole sweet game has changed. Dr. Michael Greger says that erythritol is safe (until proven otherwise) so I bought a bunch of bags and loved it. I blew through so many bags because I have quite the sweet tooth. The only place I could find the erythritol is on Amazon--the stores don't carry the good stuff. But then Food Babe said that erythritol wasn't safe because most erythritol products are made from GMO corn. This particular brand is GMO free. It's 100% natural, gluten free, and Kosher. You can have your light and sweet coffee without any guilt. Even diabetics can use this product because it's zero on the glycemic index.I put erythritol on strawberries, in my plain greek yogurt, essentially anywhere I would normally use sugar. I have not baked with it yet because I am on a mission to lose weight so I'm sticking to fruits, vegetables, beans, legumes, and skipping the baked goods. If you have a sweet tooth like I have a sweet tooth, you will be extremely happy with this erythritol product. I take it everywhere with me, especially to coffee houses and restaurants where I know they don't have this on the table.

I disagree with most reviews that stated that it was not as sweet as sugar
I have only used this product once since purchase. I made some chocolate candy with organic cacao powder. The Erythritol performed well in the candy making. I disagree with most reviews that stated that it was not as sweet as sugar. I felt that is was sweet enough using it cup per cup instead of white sugar. The only thing that I really didn't care for was a cool sensation on my tongue after eating it...not sure what that was all about. But over all I liked the product very much. I am going to make a pound cake next; can't wait to find out how that turns out.

Very nice product
I'm on a keto diet. This product helps by offering a granular sweetener with very low carbs. Do be aware that with some people, if Erythritol is eaten in large enough quantities, it can cause some gastrointestinal drama. Doesn't bother me or my wife. Other sugar alcohols do, though, so we feel like Erythritol is living up to it's reputation as the kinder/gentler sugar alcohol. It also has a slight cooling sensation in the mouth. Bottom line? it is NOT sucrose. BUT it is very low carb and pretty useful as a diet aid. A tip... we immediately decant the package to a glass jar which has a few vanilla beans in it, the way you would make vanilla sugar. This feels like it makes the overall taste profile a bit more sugar-like. Highly recommended if it meets your dietary needs.

Good sugar substitute
I'm on a low carb diet and had purchased Stevia at the grocery but was not pleased with the bitter taste when added to some things like whipped cream. Erythritol has a taste very similar to sugar except that it does have a "tingling sensation" when you taste it raw. That's not bad, just different from sugar. I would give it a 5 star if it dissolved well in cold liquids but that's the only negative I've experienced so far.

Unpalatable when baked
I am baffled at the number of positive reviews for this product. I have used this product in seven low carb recipes so far and only one was even tolerable. The rest had a weird aftertaste or "cooling effect" that was absolutely unbearable. I cannot tell you how much butter, almond flour, cream cheese and other ingredients I've wasted trying to make these desserts I end up throwing out.Of note, am not a sugar substitute snob at all. I frequently use stevia and occasionally Splenda and although I prefer Coke Zero, I can bear the taste of Diet Coke. However, when it comes to baking with this product, something is way off.I would love to change this to a positive review. If anyone can tell me how I can cut down this aftertaste - please help. I would hate to throw this out if there is something I can do in my recipes to improve the taste.

BAD TASTE & NOT GOOD FOR YOU
I so wish I had done my research on "Natural" sugars. ERYTHITOL tastes terrible! Not sweet at all and IT MADE ME SICK. I didn't "over-sweeten" either. After reading several articles, "E-How" summed it up pretty well, "The erythritol health effects include diarrhea, bloating, gas and a rumbling sound from the stomach and intestinal tract. These side effects disappear in a few days as the body gets used to erythritol." Do you want you body getting used to this product? Be careful about STEVIA as well. Do your research before buying "Natural" sugars. I surprised by WHAT they put in these products and HOW they process them..., it's scary! Widipedia has some interesting notes on the Genetically modified food controversies as well. It's worth reading and continuing your research before OVER-paying for "Natural" and "Non-GMO" products. I'm discovering that WHAT'S PRINTED on product labels doesn't mean it's THE TRUTH.

... actually has antioxidants but it really is not very sweet. you need to put more than two teaspoons ...
I've read that this is the only non caloric sweetener that actually has antioxidants but it really is not very sweet. you need to put more than two teaspoons in each 8 oz drink. Stevia is much sweeter but again I still will reorder for its antioxidant qualities.

sweetens but burns
I use this to make coconut milk fat frosting shots. previously I used "Swerve" brand which was good but spendy. so I tried this, and it tends to burn the back of my throat and mouth a bit. not very pleasant when trying to enjoy a creamy dessert.
