Small Hand Turned Bowls made of Beetle Killed Pine

These hand turned bowls are individually crafted art objects suitable both for display & utility. They are sturdy and dry food safe and can hold fruit, snack mix, candy, popcorn, pretzels, etc. or serve as distinctive cache pots to store treasurers or utility items on your desk, dresser or bedside table. Photo 1 is a flared rim bowl, 6-3/4" diameter, 3" tall with 2-1/4" tall interior open space This bowl was hand turned in our workshop from a Lodge Pole Pine tree that died from the infestation of the Pine Bark Beetle in Grand County, CO. We harvest logs from standing dead trees. The dramatic blue-gray or silvery spalting is distinctive to beetle killed trees (see photos). No artificial stain is used on these items. These bows are finished with multiple coats of clear polyurethane completed with bees wax, hand buffed to a protective gloss for easy maintenance. Ready for immediate shipment
