Great value!
This review is for the 22 ton 1/2 beam log splitter from DHT. This thing works great! I got the 1/2 beam as it is narrow enough to fit between the wheel wells of my Ford Ranger.....and it was 1/2 the cost of other splitters. Wife and I assembled it in our driveway. No problems. Started up first thing and I split two cords of nasty oak "y "branch 24 inch diameter logs with it so far. The $629 included free shipping and the residential delivery charge. Could not be happier.

great splitter for the money
I got the splitter and initially it did well then it didn't. It wouldn't hardly split anything. After considerable searching I found the number to the manufacturer. I told them my problem and they told me what was wrong (the pump) and immediately sent another no questions asked. It has split EVERYTHING I put in it including Elm. Best investment yet

Works great
I’ve use it on hard maple did about 10 face cords. Works absolutely great. Starts every time. Will go through anything that I put in it.

No Customer Service?!
Used the splitter for 3 hours when we lost pressure. The engine runs, but it doesn't produce enough pressure to split wood. I spent over an hour on hold, waiting to speak to someone in customer service, but there's nobody to talk to. It can't be returned, so my next move will be to file a complaint, and cancel the purchase through my credit card. I'd give it no stars if I could.Update: after a third attempt to reach customer service, we've concluded that there isn't any customer service. Noone to answer the phone. If you enjoy waiting on hold, call their number 877-487-8275 or 720-287-5182, hold is all they offer!

Easy to crank and use
The media could not be loaded. Great Splitter. Cranks easy, and has good power. Wish I had bought one of these years ago!
