Almost as good as the Wolverine Ultimate, 10x better than the V2 Chroma
Review based mainly on Rocket League play. tl;dr at the bottom I took the dive into pro controllers last year with the brilliant Wolverine Ultimate Edition. The only issue really was stick drift. I sent it back and they replaced it with the Wolverine V2 Chroma as the UE was out of production (despite it still being sold in stores?). My word I hated the V2. The ABXY buttons were a mix between membrane and mechanical, the sticks were too soft in tension and were only held in place by magnets resulting in very subtle, but noticeable stick movement gliding across the magnets, which ruined the experience coming from the UE. So I gave them away and bought the Thrustmaster hoping for something similar to the UE, and found it. The ABXY buttons are mechanical and clicky, and are flat instead of domed which I actually prefer. Very reminiscent of the UE. The thumbsticks are screwed in place, so you have to unscrew them to swap. While some people might find this cumbersome, it holds the sticks in place firmly. The tension isn't variable, but it's slightly stiffer than the V2 in my opinion, as I don't have a V2 next to me to compare directly. The convex thumbsticks are flatter than the V2, and also have a nice rim (heh) to them so when you're maxed out in a direction it minimises thumb slip (more on this). The braided cable is high quality, not much else to say. I'm neutral on the back buttons. My hands are fairly large, and my ring fingers on both hands can reach the back buttons easily. I've seen videos of people complaining that the back buttons are hard to reach, but they're using their ring AND little fingers to cover all 4 buttons. This isn't how they're meant to be used. Much like using your thumb to hit 4 buttons, ABYX, the back buttons are meant to be used by your ring fingers. If you have small hands, you will struggle with this controller and the back buttons. Lack of RGB is also a neutral point for me, as I'm never looking at my controller when I'm playing, and given the cost, I don't display my controllers and put them back in their box/case after use. Now, the cons. The Wolverine UE/Chroma V2 had 2 extra shoulder buttons/bumpers which is a genius idea, as the index fingers have access to 2 extra buttons (bound to face buttons)) without having to move. Thrustmaster hasn't implemented this in their design despite having the space for it. During my time of play, I have noticed that these buttons aren't there, but I haven't missed it too much. It would be a nice addition, though, if they ever upgrade. This is a very slight niggle, but it's because of how I grip the controller. My hands get sweaty, and the plastic sides don't help, so my hands do slip sometimes. I end up gripping the controller a little tight on the right side, and the panel does move ever so slightly. It doesn't come off, but I feel a tiny click sometimes, but that just tells me I need to reposition my hand and it stops. The thumbsticks, while they feel good and perform well, my thumbs do slip off the sticks, albeit rarely. I'll quickly wipe the thumbsticks with my tshirt and my thumbs on my jeans and I'm good to go. Also, get the warranty. I did have issues with my first one, and Amazon sent out a replacement straight away. It's £20, who cares. tl;dr very, very close to the Wolverine UE in quality, some niggles, but so much better than the V2 Chroma.

Best controller I've ever used. FOR 2 MONTHS, edit in main review.
I've been playing games since my commodore in the 80s, from joysticks to dual shock 4s; I've played with a lot of peripherals and can say that this controller is the best I've used. Excellent mechanical clicky buttons, triggers are solid and the variable travel is a really nice option. The analogue sticks are phenomenal. Excellent build quality. The one tiny thing I will say, is that after a few months intense rocket league gaming, one of the symbols on the buttons has started to wear off. EDIT: ok, so after a good 2 months use playing Rocket League, and only Rocket League, from someone who doesn't get that much time to game. If you hold the stick in a direction, and press "A" fast enough succession, then it doesn't register the direction input; even if you're already holding the stick in the up direction for example. I know this, because multiple times in a game now, my car double jumps and floats back down to the floor again, when I try and front flip. Sorry I can't relate this to any other game. Tried switching the sticks, seemed to have a placebo effect for a while, then the same thing happened. Also get an issue where Steam just doesn't recognise the controller until it's been unplugged and plugged back in again a few times, this can occur in the middle of a game also. Lovely. Feels expensive and solid, nice clicky buttons, but quite a couple of snags for something this price. Will revert back to buying a new wired X-box controller, which last YEARS, and put this down as a lesson learned.

Overall preformance, feel and usability leagues ahead of Elite controllers.
Love the Controller and tge ability to swap out tge thumb stick for higher resistance ones and also the Dpad. Dont use the hair triggers currently but will at some point. Yes its a tad more expensive than a elite but Ive had a Gen 1 & 2 which had stick drift. Buy this and swap one out if you get stick drift. I also bought the blue camo colour pack with higher resistance thumb. Blows elites out of the water. Yes its wired but I was burning through AA's with the elite so all in all, I'm very pleased.

Not as good as I had hoped
Initially i felt this was a pretty good controler, now I'm not so sure. It's 4 years old now and I want to get a service lol haha I hear you say, : RollsEyes. I've had replacment bumpers and now, my sticks both have 21% error rating on circularity and the right trigger is so sensitive now that even a brush against my leg registers activation. It's also sticking on right trigger. So, I've approached Thrustmast and asked for a service. :( , They want, copy of receipt, photos of the device, video's of the controller in use and on screen as well as readouts from controller at the same time. Now, I can do this, but, all I want is a bloody service and a good interal chem wash of parts that aren't reading correctly. Do i really need this agro to spend money, Answer no, i'll now buy a £60 controller and bin it when it doesn't work any more lol. Each one only need last 18 month :)

So good until it isn't!
I use this controller mainly for rocket league - came from an e swap s after 3 that all failed :(. The x pro is near perfect imo - the sticks are so good. The bumper buttons seem to be a lottery of durability. I would trade the bumpers to be the soft mashable style button (like a DS4) rather than the mouse button like click if it meant that they we're more reliable but hey ho .... thrustmaster if you're listening, please release a refresh of this minus the issues. So a great buy but either make sure you buy extended warranty or buy from a great seller like amazon that actually support their customers!

Too expensive
Nice Joypad didn't have a problem with it, it worked great, the detachable modules are nice, but when you see how much a replacement cost, everything for this joypad feels like a cash grab, the buttons underneath are kind of hard to use as they are in a rubbish position, I also think for what it is I think its way too much money for a joypad.

Best controller in the market
I bought the controller knowing very little about it and the company but after having this controller for a while, I have had no issues at all, the analog sticks and d pad are hotswappable so you can play with a PlayStation layout and if you get stick drift then no need to buy a whole new controller. Just replacement sticks! Wonderful controller and extremely trustworthy company.

Bought 2, both failed.
Bought the first, initially thought the controller was amazing - slightly bigger than I'm used to and very satisfying tactile clicks when pressing buttons - similar to a good solid mouse click. As great as the ability to simply 'swap' out old sticks that will eventually get stick drift is - the left bumper button failed within a few weeks. It stopped making a prominent 'click' when pressed - eventually it just popped out of place with no way to repair it easily. Thinking this was a one off problem, I reordered the same controller - only for the EXACT same thing to happen again within the same time frame. Both controllers were handled with care, never dropped or mishandled. Go for the SCUF Instinct or the XBOX Elite 2 - both are better quality than this IMO.

Do not buy, Not Worth it
Overall the controller was great when I first got it. However after only 13 Months of moderate use the controller is broken. Opened it up and there was multiple flimsy plastic internals that show obvious cost cutting. The internals do not hold up and my controller ended up with a broken bumper and a broken B button. Warranty is only for 12 months. Absolutely disgusted about the price to performance ratio of the controller. You would think a high cost controller would have sturdy internals built to handle the target audience. The swapping modules are a cool gimmick but nothing more than that. DO NOT BUY!!!

Excelente control modular
