Sticks well so far (press firmly!); some imperfections; good value
The black glossy look seems to match my dark grey mazda 3 relatively well. It should be noted that what I received did have some imperfections in the surface (ridges, warp marks)-but i don't mind it too much, this being a sacrificial piece anyway.Regarding installation, of course clean your surface accordingly, at least with a good cloth (i also happened to have added a layer of sealant/wax before hand, and apparently this makes future removal easier and potentially protects from slight scuffs). As for application, after lining the piece up, peel from one end and apply that end of the bumper first-to make it stick you really have to make sure to firmly press the middle of the bumper into the car surface, as the adhesive is actually slightly recessed into the curved inside. Then, i just worked my way along it, peeling more and more of the adhesive tape, etc, etc and done!So far after a week, this has held up quite well (even after a 500+ km trip). One thing that i do worry about is the concave in the bumper i was talking about. Due to it, the edges of the bumper, which are "sharp" (but still soft as rubber of course) sort of dig into the surrounding paintwork. From experience with door edge trim guards this could cause some scratching into the paint-but that remains to be seen, as does the longevity of the product.

No More Chipped Paint!!!
After living in San Francisco for a good number of years, I got used to seeing the bumpers of my cars get dinged and chipped. Since they don't make vehicles with real steel bumpers any more, Pacer's bumper guards provide a reasonable amount of protection from those who park by feel. I installed the guards on my 2003 Ford Focus and was disappointed that I hadn't thought of putting them on my Sable, Contour and 2000 Focus Wagon. To start with, they don't look goofy after they're installed. Next they're easy to put on, and with a little time, measuring and some patience they really look like they belong on the vehicle. Once you have the idea of where they will best protect your bumpers and look nice, peel the advhesive strips and stick 'em on. I just traded my '03 Focus for a 2012 and, though I'm not living in the Bay Area any longer, I am considering another set of them. To be fair, they are not perfect but this product did help keep my car from looking like something had been chewing on the front rear bumpers over the few years of street parking in San Francisco.

Good value....I would buy again
Prepped area with alcohol and stuck em' on. Only been two weeks but they've been through the car wash and I don't think they're coming off any time soon. One end doesn't seem to go flush as much as the other end does...had I known, I would have trimmed off the little rib from the middle on the under side...I think that would have helped. Too late now as they are attached. You would have to be looking for it to notice. They look like part of the vehicle and match my black paint perfectly. I would buy again.

Looks good...easy to install
I purchased this product for two reasons....first, to cover up some deep scratches on my rear bumper and second, to protect against future bumper damage. The strips are of very good quality and easy to install but you only get one chance to put them on correctly so be careful. They are reasonably priced but they are shorter than I had hoped; I realize that they are made primarily for the corners of the bumpers but I hoped that they would be long enough to mount one across the rear of the bumper. As a result, I needed to use two....but it still does the job and looks nice. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

No scrapes so far?
I recently purchased a newer car in part because I was fed up with the sometimes egregious scrapes left on my bumpers by 'oopsie-daisy . . . oh well!' parkers. I was determined that the new car would not end up like this, so I ordered this kit along with the BumpShox license plate guard for the front and the Pacer pads for the rear. The strips were easy to install and have held so far (1 month of hot/wet weather). In that time, I have not seen any scrapes on the car.I might paint these to match the car in the future, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

They look great. I have had multiple sets on my cars for years.
These look really clean on my car. I have a C class Mercedes and I put 6 of them above and below the silver lines on the back and one around each corner curve on the front. It's been on there for 18 months with no problem and I had a different set of the same Pacer performance bumpers on my last car for 2 years. I also bought these for my dad and for my brother. We all live in NYC and park our cars on the streets. These have done a great job of preventing scratches and making it easier to park. I will continue buying these for my next cars. They also look like they are part of the design and are not ugly.

Look good and work well for Wrangler JK
I located these on the plastic fenders of my Black Jeep Wrangler JK. For this vehicle it looks good while still providing a useful function. But they are big. The part of the bumper that contacts the vehicle is approx. 1" across and it sticks up approx. 1/2" at the high spot. After 6 weeks of installation the 3M tape is still holding them on well. For a black JK I would purchase them again. However, due to their size they would not be appropriate for all vehicles.

Easy to make contiguous...
These are the best. You’re a good solid rubber and if you’re reasonably well. When you go around the corner you might consider adding some extra double-sided tape in between the strips provided. They were easy to trim and make into one continuous 6 foot long rubber strip on both the front and back of my Camry. And the end pieces I trimmed off those come in and be in several projects including securing my coffee cup on the inside of the car.
