BumpTek RP Series - Stick On Bumper Guard (RP-53 (53" Wide))

After a year the glue became a problem. It's let go in 2 places - probably because the car was outside in ice and rain.

This thing is awesome! It feels sturdy, it attaches like cement and it covers my car very well.A few things:-Make sure you follow the rules to attach the bumper. I live in New England and I have no concerns this will fall off in the snow or heavy rain here-If you're attaching it to a BMW or other car with parking sensors do not attach it over them! Your car will continuously beep.-MEASURE the middle points. It's going to look real odd if you're off center. I measured the bumper to the middle and made a mark. I did the same on the car and used a magic marker to make a small dot of the middle and that's how mine lined up perfect.-Make sure your're attaching to a part of your bumper that comes out further than another point of the bumper. For example if you put this too low the higher point of the bumper may actually come out before the BumpTek and serve you no purpose.

This is a thick, sturdy, hard yet pliable enough to bend bumper protector that does the job. This is my second one. First one was on a car I traded for the current car and it protected me from a lot of the big city parking bumps and thumps. It integrates with the bumper excellently and is very easy to apply. It even comes with a mark in the center so you know it's centered on the bumper. Recommended 100%.

Way better than I anticipated. I was apprehensive due to the price but the reviews were good and this is the style I was looking for. Opening the box, even the installation instructions were printed on good quality paper. Aside from some paper towels and water to ensure the bumper was clean to start off with, everything needed to install the guard was included. The guard itself has a bit of heft to it and feels like it was manufactured in a time before planned senescence came into being. It'll probably last longer than your car. Installation was relatively easy and it works as advertised. I haven't seen any more of those pesky license plate dents on my bumper since it was installed.Recommendation: Have an assistant stand at a distance to assess if the guard is level and centered or use a measuring device.

This installed easily, there's a little hash mark at the center which aids installation. So far (4 months), the guard has held well through rain, carwashes, mud, dust and more rain/washing. The guard is thick enough to prevent bumper ships/scrapes from minor bumping. The width of the guard is sufficient to protect against most minor rear bumper bumping. It is not long enough to wrap around the corners of most bumpers so it will not protect against corner bumps.

All cars should have rubber front license plate holder to prevent protruding screws from damaging rear bumpers of other cars. Some American cars already have good license plate and rear bumper design with protective molding. However, until we have these improvements for all cars, Bump Tek serves to limit unnecessary scratches and bumper repairs. I wish I had Bump Tek installed right after my car's rear bumper was repainted two years ago. A few minor scratches are now hidden from view by Bump Tek. Thanks to the friendly Bump Tek agent for being helpful in providing me with the 46" Bump Tek which fits my car better than the 53" model.

This bumper guard is awesome. It looks like it was part of the original protective bumper on my car (Subaru Outback) and is not an eyesore like the Bumper Bully (and other related products). One caveat, the 3M adhesive that is used on this product cannot be applied in the cold. So if you are buying this in winter and live in a cold climate, be prepared to apply it in a heated garage or wait until spring. Otherwise a fantastic product and does what it is supposed to do. Very happy I purchased it!

I live in NY metro are and I waited for more than a year to write a review. I'm very satisfied with this product, it fits and looks perfect on my VW passat 2013, this protector is being through hot and very cold days, survived 2013 winter which was pretty bad, tons of snow, rain and freezing rain and this thing holds up and now after more than a year, it looks as the factory just installed it!. Just be really careful and follow the instructions when you install it and it will last a long time! only worry now is how am I going to take it off when changing my car!
