Spike Bite Protective Vest for Small Dogs to Deter Coyotes, Hawks & Owls

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would need to buy this vest....I live in a city for Pete's sake...but the drought caused coyotes to roam even further to find food and when a panicked neighbor knocked on our door to tell us that their dog was attacked in their own back yard by scaling their brick wall, I knew I had to do something to protect my pup. Thankfully my research pointed me to spikebite. This vest is very well made. The cloth is thick and feels durable. The embedded spikes around the neck and down the back don't feel flimsy or breakable when you press down on them. The velcro and buckles keep the vest firmly in place. There's even a hook to connect a leash to so I can walk my dog with the vest on. The owner John worked closely with us in order to get the sizing correct because the last thing I wanted was inadequate protection. God forbid that a coyote ever attacks my dog....but this vest gives me peace of mind when we he is home alone. Like i said, better safe than sorry. I recommend it.

My 9lb min-pin refuses to walk when she's got this on. It's very awkward and uncomfortable for her. However- I realize that that is no fault of the manufacturer. It's a well made vest and after experiencing a coyote attack in which I almost lost my precious pet it was worth a try. Maybe I can somehow train her to get somewhat used to it. Suggestions are very welcome.

This is SO well made! We could tell that our dog noticed this was different from her regular harness, but it didn't stop her from running to the door the minute we put it on, and she didn't want to come in after her walk. LOL We got it in red and it sparkles in the daylight. She looks adorable in it and is protected from some of the scariest hazards for small dogs. This is a great company that really cares about pets.I'll try to come back and add a photo to this review soon.

My biggest dog bit my smaller dog, was a shock to us! I started looking for a protective vest and thank you Spike bite I found you! They helped me with the measurements and now my smaller dog wears it when my bigger dog is around.It gives me peace of mind knowing that my little guy is safe, I love both dogs and we did not want to give the bigger dog away.Little dog does not mind the vest, I put a t-shirt underneath so the vest does not get full of hair since he sheds a lot, he wears it mostly during the day.Thanks for a awesome product.I live in the city, but my mother in law little dog lives close to Sacramento and her dog got killed by coyote, I bet it would have not if he had the vest.

This is a great vest. I got this for my 8 lb shih tzu. I live in a senior moblie home park and coyotes are a big problem day and night. We have lost cats and dogs! I ordered the vest and when it came it was a bit small. The owner, John came to my house and took the vest and redid it to fit my dog. Very impressive service. I am so glad to be able to walk my dog with a little more peace of mind !!

This vest is light weight, tough and really well made. It fits my extra small dog perfectly. It was made, shipped and delivered promptly upon ordering. Spike Bite is about customer service!

I live in the backwoods of Southwest Arkansas and we have lots of predators. I am always concerned about the safety of my dogs so I ordered 2 protective vest.
