Very pleased with the quality and price of this cable. Since my SFP's were not duplex, I was able to separate the connectors easily so that it would work. Great value.

Got this to evaluate the quality before purchasing more. It's good quality cable with an adequate termination job... Expect to use a termination box, naturally if you're going to cut the pre-terminated ends off. There's one larger diameter "hanger wire," and then two smaller diameter bronze looking shield wires on either side of the two fibers: one clear enameled and one blue enameled. Works fine as-is for a 1Gbps connection between two switches. This is a good deal and a definite buy for the casual consumer or someone who has to do a lot of install work but doesn't want to have to worry about going out of their way to protect the cable during install. It's very rugged and can bend and conform to shapes and corners. I suppose you could also use the larger diameter wire to hang the cable during install... Just separate it from the rest of the assembly and do what you need to in order to make it hang where you want it to. Very versatile.

for out door use the cable is week and it was hard to keep straight

I wanted to break any electrically conductive path in the data cable between my ISP's cable modem/router and my Ethernet-wired home theater system. I did it by connecting this fiber optic cable between two 10Gtek Media Convertor modules--one module at the cable modem end, the other at my Ethernet switch. This cheap insurance gives me some peace of mind that in the event the cable modem ever gets zapped in an electrical storm, it won't take the rest of my equipment down with it. Works great; As a side effect, audio also improved- probably because the fiberoptic cable also blocked the path of any RFI/EMI traveling down the Ethernet cable from the router to my switch. A welcome bonus!

Just what we needed good price

I used this product to help build out a hone 10G network. This particular cable was used to connect two 10G switches.

I've been installing networks for over 25 years and fiber patch cables are some of the best I've ever used. Best of all, you plug them in and they work perfectly. What more can you ask for?

At first glance it seemed heavy duty for my testing needs, but began failing after about 100 tests. You get what you pay for.
