Beautifully made, heavy in the hand, obvious quality. The silver tip badger hair feels really good and isn’t so stiff it gouges the soap for excessive application.The knot is threaded into the handle and is simple to remove and replace with a firm, but gentle, grip and twist. Very happy with the purchase, a beautiful piece.Not for travel, but wasn’t expecting that.

I have been shaving with a brush and cream for a couple decades now and thought I had a good brush until I splurged on this one.It’s a little expensive, but it takes very little cream to make a very thick lather.

As Amazon shows, this is not a verified purchase. I was able to find this brush at another provider at a considerable savings, with free (but not two-day Prime) shipping included. That said, I would like to share my experience with this product.I really love the handle of this brush. The unique grain of the birch wood is very pleasing to the eye. And the silver tip badger bristles are soft enough for comfort but firm enough to create quite a good lather.Speaking of the lather, though...this brush, as I said in the review title, is not intended for normal lathering using a scuttle (or your cupped hand) with hot water. The owner's documentation that comes with the brush has information not posted in the item description that surprised and dismayed me, namely: the warmest water recommended is 115 degrees F! I knocked off a star for this restriction, which I feel is unnecessarily restrictive.The recommended usage in the owner's manual is to moisten the face, rub soap or shaving cream on it and then lather the face with the brush for three minutes. This is far different from the method I and many shavers and barbershops use, which is to use hot water to moisten the brush, lather the brush from the soap or cream and then volumnize the lather in a scuttle or cupped hand. For my own part, I use warmer water than 115 degrees but not the very hot water I used to use. Our tap water is around 140 degrees, but I am using somewhere in the neighborhood of 130. It makes a lather that's at least warm enough on the face to be comfortable. That said, this brush is fabulous at increasing shaving foam volume and I really enjoy using it.The brush's bristle knot is formed into a male-threaded holder. The handle is female threaded to receive the holder. This is how Muehle is able to provide various bristles in various handles. I am pointing it out here so that you'll know you should be able to obtain another knot in the future should your tastes change and just remove the one and install the other.Recommended! (With noted reservation about water temp.)

I really wish I could give this brush a higher rating. It looks and feels great and has high quality materials. But the quality of the construction does not match the price, unfortunately. After a year, the hairs started coming out. It started slowly but about 15 months in, I am losing many hairs every time I use it (on my face, pulling them as they hang from the brush). Very annoying and not acceptable to me at this price.

This is a top l quality beautiful brush. It looks great on my vanity top. It’s very soft and after almost a month of using it it has lost almost no bristles.

I was shocked how much of a difference a high-quality brush is compared to a run of the mill one. The foam it creates with very little soap, as well as the softness were much better than I anticipated. Craftsmanship is outstanding too.

It is performing up to my expectations, I am pleased with the brush purchase.After a year of use, this brush has proven to be worth the price paid.

Ich habe dieses Produkt nun einige Zeit in Benutzung.Die hervorradenden, weichen Haare produzieren einen wunderbaren feinporigen Schaum, welcher zu einem tollen Rasurergebnis führt.Der Pinsel liegt nicht nur ausgesprochen gut in der Hand, auch der Designer hat ganze Arbeit geleistet. Hut ab; ein Meisterstück.

Sehr gute Verarbeitung und Qualität.Preis ist auch gut. Lieferung und Verpackung top. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Für Liebhaber sehr sehr weicher Rasierpinsel ohne jegliches Backbone gilt folgendes: Super Pinsel! Geht dann eigentlich nicht besser: Superweiches Dachshaar, erwartet (bei so wenig backbone) langsames Aufschäumverhalten bei Rasiercremes und v.a. -seifen, hält das Wasser aber gut. Absolut edles Aussehen und tolle Haptik. Liegt gut und schwer in der Hand. Spitzenklasse! Der hohe Preis ist aber nur eingeschränkt gerechtfertigt. Daher: Eingeschränkte (!) Kaufempfehlung. Grund: Für Liebhaber von Pinseln mit geringem, mittlerem oder starkem Backbone gilt: Lassen Sie bitte unbedingt ihre Finger von einem Mühle Pinsel! Er wird sie völlig enttäuschen. Das Aufschäumen einer Rasierseife ist eine Mammutaufgabe und lässt einen schier verzweifeln, insbesondere wenn man morgens irgendwann mal zur Arbeit aufbrechen muss. Für Liebhaber von Pinseln ohne jegliches Backbone und Freude an minutenlangem Aufschäumen gilt: Uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung.
