Easy to Work With
The media could not be loaded. Â I used this EL wire for a cosplay mask I was working on. The wire worked fine before installing it and once it was in, I found out that the battery box is very sensitive. I can't have it on while the wire attached to the pack is moving or it'll shut everything off. It took too long to make and secure in place so replacing it would be a hassle. Wish the battery box wasn't so sensitive, it would be perfect otherwise.

A nice custom lighting option.
The media could not be loaded. Â These present some interesting options for custom lighting as these use only a couple of AA batteries. With a little rework on the battery box, and a MOSFET, these can be utilized in the same manner you might use an LED, such as an audio "Peak detector" by applying a signal to the MOSFET to gate/trigger the power to the assembly. In the video, the audio track was terrible so I used subtitles instead. Due to a quirk of the camera video speed, the flashing wires are flashing at about twice the speed of real life (I used a "CamPark" action cam for this video. As that camera does otherwise have decent lower/low light performance.). The 2 greens are the Lychee EL Wire assemblies. (The purple EL wire is from another Amazon vendor.).

Easy to use
I used this product on a costume. The wire connects to the battery pack with a click-together connection. The wire is easy to shape and attach with hot glue. it's not as bright as some of the photos appear in the item description. The color was supposed to be yellow, but is actually more green, like the high visibility vests that people wear.

Worked great for my application
I bought this to emulate neon lights in a shadowbox I was making. The first pic is how the pink looks while off, the second is on. At first I was a little annoyed because the pink is a frosty blue light inside of a pink housing, and the frosty blue is the same light in a clear housing. Pink is a little dim because of this.I experimented with taking the housing off, and if you want a very thin and easy to articulate light it works great. Third pic is the blue with the housing on and off for each triangle.I tried superglue (CA glue) and couldnt get it to cure on the housing. Maybe someone else had better luck, but I used fishingline to hold it down at each corner, and put some kinks in to stay the angle. This was pretty user friendly, and the look is impressive enough that now I'm searching out projects just to use it again.P.s. the noise is there. Turning it on for the first time I figured out which if my roommates still has good hearing.

Can be used without the battery pack with a little work
I had a spare molex connector laying around so I did the 5v pins from that into a mini buck converter stepped it down to 3v and then into the control board that comes with it.

Exactly as Pictured
The light wire works exactly as demonstrated in the promo. It is really easy to use: insert two AA batteries and press the button (once for still, twice for slow strobe, thrice for a quicker strobe). It is bright enough to be seen pretty well in the light, and the wire itself is very flexible. The battery pack does emit a high pitched buzz as mentioned in the item description, but it is quiet enough to not be heard if there is any other noise happening at the same time. I had to actually put it next to my ear to be able to hear it. Definitely worth purchasing!*will edit review once I actually use it

Served our needs nicely.
The whine is barely audible when the battery pack is in a pocket or backpack but I am guessing with higher quality components it would disappear? Served our needs nicely.

Thin and compact. Cute and great lighting!
The product comes newly sealed in a bag. It has attractive metallic packaging and it has a very familiar feel since many products I've purchased from overseas have been packaged this way.The product itself is much smaller than I had anticipated, but that's just imo. Most likely because I have poor number to real-life-scaling abilities. The wires are thin which at first seemed frail but they show no sign of breaking. They're glossy wires. They look exactly like the picture. They have a nice ambient light and have a consistent glow all throughout the wire. Theres no gaps or anything like that. This was purchase for a craft project, we are making a neon sign for an event. I feel like these wires would be good for cosplay. Since they are battery pack operated and not heavy. You could easily sew them onto fabric.

Love the look, hate the noise
Used this to make a DIY Neon Sign. Love the end result. However, it makes a very annoying noise, which is definitely disappointing. The noise is very soft but strident... I do love how it looks though

Excellent Service and Quality
Came quickly, works great, seems longer than 15 ft. More like 18 ft. Glad I ordered, very bright.

Does not work. Poor quality
This broke within a hour of its first use and only half of the wire lights up now. I'd recommend buying a better quality product than this. My old wire lasted 6+ years on my bike.
