Highly recommended on SIBO thorough & relevant
This book is very relevant and the author has gone through SIBO and shows real data. There are real life practical solutions to help heal SIBO. Recipes look good too. I bought 3 different SIBO books this one offers lots of fact and good advice.

Great Resource...I am so Glad to Have Found It
Loved this book. Easy to read, great information, and best of all, adds hope! I am just beginning the protocol suggested in the book. I guess I should have waited to review......however there are no "givens" with condition. What works for one person may not work for another. I am trying the specific diet and herbal recovery medicines outlined in the book. ALL were easily bought on Amazon and arrived quickly. May not appeal to beginners, who are just beginning to understand digestion and all the problems and variables that go with it. I am convinced that very few GI MDs really understand IBS, so we sufferers have to take over for ourselves. This seems to me to be a very good plan of attack. We shall see!!

Pretty decent information but…..
This book has some decent information but it isn’t anything different than what you can find online. I mostly bought it to try the elemental diet, spent a fortune on all the ingredients and couldn’t get through one day. It tasted so nasty that by mid day I thought I was going to throw up, took until 7pm to finally try sucking down the last drink, got one sip down and said nope, can’t do it.Honestly don’t buy a 10 lb jug of dextrose! Why would you use dextrose to kill bacterial overgrowth that feeds on carbs??? Anyway. Save yourself some time. Eat high protein , very low carb and stay away from sugar and processed foods

I starting feeling better with a similar protocol of diet and naturopathic antibiotics ...
If you think you have SIBO or have been diagnosed and need more information with simple recipes to eat, this book has helped me survive 7 weeks of the SIBO diet so far, 5 more to go. I starting feeling better with a similar protocol of diet and naturopathic antibiotics and supplements. This helped confirm my choice with her experiences. The author mentions not eating the baked goods the first few weeks and I would agree. You can beat this overgrowth. It is a quick read, easy to understand and the author is from Argentina and has a great understanding of using spices to liven up the diet. I especially like the beef and broccoli but I substituted ground beef and found it more flavorful. The seasoned crackers are so easy to make and satisfy the salty crunch we miss (don't eat until into the diet a few weeks). Thank you so much for sharing your journey and recipes- I'd love to see more.

If you are struggling with SIBO, get this book!
This book is an answer to my prayers. I have been diagnosed with SIBO and struggled to get a clear picture of what it is and what to do about it. I have a naturopathic doctor I see for a half hour every four weeks, or so. I like him a lot, but I can't get the full picture from these rather short appointments. Symptoms of SIBO can be so overwhelming I began to wonder if can really cure my body? I picked up this book and read, "I understand how demoralizing it is when you finally start eating healthy foods and get sicker instead better." That describes my experience exactly. I've eaten healthy and organic since the early 1970s, but "healthy" foods like broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, onions, and mushrooms (and many more) don't work with SIBO. So, I am relearning what to eat, what supplements to take and a whole host of things to do. Sylvie McCracken's book is a roadmap to use to guide me through this healing journey. I am very grateful for her knowledge and ability to clearly communicate.

I thought there was some good information. However
Dear Ms. McCracken: As a health professional for over 30 years, I have always kept up with changes in all areas of wellness. For the first time I had a new young patient with both neck and back issues and SIBO. I immediately checked web sites and other medical journals to further educate myself. I also ordered several books to have as resource material for my patients. Initially, I was impressed with the graphics and pictures, etc. As I read, I thought there was some good information. However, at a closer view I was astonished then horrified that you did not even mention or show the gallbladder. Not only is it essential to the digestion process, bile is responsible for fat digestion. Inaccurate and incomplete are only 2 of the many words that come to mind. I also have never seen such a lengthy disclaimer - for very obvious reasons. You do a great disservice to so many and put a major question mark on the remainder of your work. No matter the intention, it is essential to present an accurate and full picture of the digestive process. Leaving out the gallbladder is a glaring omission. Sincerely, Dr. Carol Le Blanc.

Book does contain a few good recipes as well as a decent SIBO foodist
This book repeats the basic information you can find on the internet. The recommendation are based on the authors own experience and not on clinical studies etc. Book does contain a few good recipes as well as a decent SIBO foodist. The "Gut Health Protocol by John G. Herron is much more comprehensive and based on research as well as own experience. I recommend that book to everybody who needs to take care if their SIBO problem.
