I bought a pair of these in 2020 and just installed the second one as my final mogul bulb died. Wow, it's so much nicer to drop in a modern LED bulb with a standard base - just brings these lamps to life again and does it in a way that uses less power and produces less heat. Fantastic and amazingly useful product. Sure beats hunting down mogul bulbs!

Quality appears great, price is fair, fit is very good and now our family floor lamp is up and working again.

Mogul adapter is quite heavy and substantive. When I used it for a 3 way bulb, however, it would only work on one brightness setting. I assume that 3 way bulbs work only when no adapter is used.

I recently inherited my great-grandmother's mogul bulb floor lamp. When I needed a new bulb, I was shocked at the price for an incandescent bulb... and the CFLs and LEDs were significantly more than those. Since I do not have good luck with bulbs of any type lasting for long, I was not going to pay between 20USD and 80USD for a bulb. I also did not want to rewire this antique lamp as I wanted to keep it exactly as she had it if I could. Luckily, I came across an Amazon advert for socket adapters and I started seeking out these.I selected these as they were a bit taller than some of the others which allows a better fit if you have odd-shaped bulbs, and they had a ceramic base rather than plastic which means they are better insulators and they can tolerate higher temperatures. The fit is very good, as the bulb screwed it a bit tight and the adapter tends to stay on the bulb when you unscrew the bulb from the light.I am rating these four stars as they solve my problem by allowing my to use inexpensive US standard E29 bulbs in my E39 socket antique floor lamp for much less than the price of an E39 bulb. It does not allow any support for three way bulbs in my lamp, but that is a minor issue as I will probably put it on a WiFi switch for automation anyway. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

This adapter fit and old floor lamp and allowed me you use a smart LED bulb.

Never new you could get an adapter for my Grandfather's lamp. I had a real hard time finding tri-light bulbs for it. It's over a hundred years old. Very grateful! It's perfect.

I have an antique or a minimum very old floor lamp with Tri-light that unfortunately has a light bulb base called a mogul which is bigger then the now standard light bulb medium bases. Wanted to go LED but couldn't find one with the mogul base, thankfully the industry is wise enough to have come out with adaptors such as this to allow "new to fit the old." These specific adaptors are perfect, easy installation, good quality and most importantly fit into the existing old lamp and more importantly allow the use of the new LED tri-light.

I bought an antique floor lamp on an online auction (one that doesn't allow pre-aucyion viewings). It seemed like a great deal...until I picked it up and noticed that the bulb it came with was HUGE!! I've never seen such a massive light bulb. It was also 600watts which is a bit loopy.I didn't know what to do about the situation until amazon saved the day. A quick search led me to this product which ended up saving the day at a super reasonable cost.So simple: you use this product and you screw it into the light socket and it allows you to use regular, and in this case, energy efficient light bulbs. In effect, it changes the 600 watt (and very hard to get) bulb into a unit that uses an inexpensive (in this case, an 8 watt) nd long lasting energy efficient light bulb.Perfect!

Got these for my lamps that have 3 settings... low, medium and high and the 3 way light bulb, but when I tried them in the lamp it only had the high setting so I just used the original large light bulb and when it burns out I will use these.

When the bulb in our vintage torchiere burnt out, we spent almost 4 months looking for a replacement for it. I'm so happy I found this converter! Love that we can use standard bulbs, especially LED, which doesn't make the room as hot.
