Hedgehogs: The Essential Guide to Ownership & Care for Your Pet (Hedgehog Care)

I think that this book is very informational and also easy to understand. It tells you all the basics for hedgehog ownership and I highly recommend it. I think that this book is better than the other two that I downloaded with it; they said it was okay to feed hedgies dairy!I have read this book twice and plan to read it again when I get my hedgehog in December. The only thing that I don't like about this eBook is that it doesn't give you as many examples as I would have liked. For instance, it didn't say anything about Carolina Storm wheels in the bucket wheels section, which is definitely a mistake.All in all, this was an amazing read and would give it ten stars if I could.

I am doing all the research I can prior to adding a hedgie to our family of pets. I purchased this book to help me with the information I will need in order to be a successful quill-kid parent. This book is very well written and explicit concerning the proper care of your hedgehog. It contains everything from chosing the correct breeder (don't buy from a pet shop) to trimming nails and everything in between. I am a children's librarian and would definitely consider adding this book to our collection. The book is taliored to adults but can easily be understood by a child at a 5th grade reading level.I recommend this well written volume to anyone who is thinking of adding this exotic pet to the family. This was an easy read. I like that it has large font and a more informal "speech". I would have liked some colored photos to go along with instructions on how to bathe or trim nails on my hedgehog and just cute hedgie pics overall. Not as informative and full of specific facts as "A Complete Pet Owner's Manual: Hedgehogs" but it did have some helpful tips and advise that the other book did not have such as what Hedgehog brand foods are actually good if you can find them and what to do to keep your hedgie warm if you're taking him on a long car ride in a pet carrier.

Enjoyed reading this book to get to know my new animal. Very knowledgeable.

I inherited Rocky when my son's girlfriend got a job in California, which bans hedgehogs, along with other cool things. Having no experience aside from a farm background I found this book to be well written and informative. Rocky seems happier although he misses his owner and I'm more comfortable with him. Hedgehogs are a blast.

I like this book and find the information useful. There are some things that the book mentions that I don't agree with (This is since I do other research other than one book) but other than that I find a lot of things helpful and it is a good idea to have a book like this when getting your first Hedgie.

I bought it for my niece, she loved it. Took it to school and shared it with her classmates.

This book has helped me understand how to care for my hedgehog, it matches with what the breeder has told me and helps immensely!

This book is fantastic! It told us everything we needed to know in order to make our hedgehog, Meatball comfortable and happy in his new home! We definitely recommend it to anyone who has a hedgehog or is considering adopting one. It's a quick and easy read and gives you all the basic information you will need to provide your hedgie with a good home!

I really love this book. I will soon be owning a hedgehog so I need to be knowledgeable enough to own one and this book tells me everything I need to own in owning one such as the food and the housing. It was a very enjoyable read and made me more excited to have my hedgehog. I really recommend this book if you're going to own a hedgehog.

As an absolutely new hogie owner I bought this book to gain as much knowledge as I could before my little one arrived home, and I wasn't disappointed.I found the book an easy to follow read with lots of information on how to care for my hedgehog and what is needed to be able to care for him properly.
