The water feeder was great, baby quails will die easy when they get wet, this feeder prevent that to happen while drinking water. The 4 packs is prefect for a group of babies.

I bought these water bottles for my birds when I had to move and drive across the country. I trained then to use a water bottle and the small size of these were perfect for traveling cages. The reason I only gave a 4 instead of a 5 is because the spouts are hard to clean. Esp if your bird likes to dunk their food in the water to eat it! But tooth picks or q-tips do work!

Update.I got a refund and trashed the feeders.The food was sliding down a bit better after I fixed it, but it still got stuck now and again and I havd to gently shake them to get the food to the feeding spot.They also slid apart when I tried to refill them and spilled all the leftover food everywhere. I bought new ones at walmart. They work like a charm.Ok. So I got these for my budgies. We have a smaller ine for water that we really liked and thought these might be great and help with food waste (they are spoiled and do not like to dig through the chaff for food lol.)I popped the food in, but it did not really come out of the little opening. I tried enlarging the hole a bit, it made it a bit better but still didn't fix the problem.There is definitely something wrong with the design.They are easy enough to assemble and so far haven't leaked the water I put into one of them, but the build quality leaves a lot to wish for.I ended up taking a close look at the different ine we have at home and noticed that the bottom piece is not a full circle. It stopps where the food comes out. So I cut the bew ones to match. Simply cut out the little piece of the circle that goes iver the dispenser. Now it works. If you look at the picture it might help you see what I mean. Disregard the scratches. I made them when I tried to enlagre the hole.I like the size of the product, but the functionality is not great until you fix it.

I bought these for feeders, not for water. I think the latter would be a mess. (My birds use a Lixit 8 oz glass water bottle). I like that the feeder bottom is slanted to encourage the food to move out of the tube. We did enlarge the bottom exit hole as the food was not emptying as it should. I feed super fine pellets to my little birds. They are expensive and the birds drop a lot, so I have one of the small plastic bathtub shaped trays a few inches below the feeder and it catches some of the dropped food.

I like how easy it was to install in the cage its a good size. don't have to worry for a few days nor changing water daily.
