I needed to get a medic alert but didn’t like most of the choices. This one looks more like a nice piece of jewelry than the cheap utilitarian necklaces that are usually available. I’ve actually gotten compliments! By choosing a smaller font it was easy to get all the pertinent info to fit. Very pleased with my purchase.

I finally got this necklace in the mail a couple of weeks ago, and I am so proud of it! It looks great and is a sturdy as described. The free engraving was a super bonus! It has plenty of room- 5 lines to write down what you want, like your name, DOB, diabetes type or other medical issue like deadly allergy, ICE contact name and phone number, and you get to pick a font you like. I chose a bold font that fit everything I wanted when I saw the preview. The engraving is deep and clear to read, even for my older family members that don't see all without glasses - they can see this engraving. I'm so glad I got my daughter this necklace! It even arrived about 1 week earlier than expected - just make sure you check your mailbox because the package is small. I did change chains because the one it came with was a little long for her small stature, but now, she can use the chain it came with as backup if needed. Hope you enjoy buying as it can offer an added protection for the one who wears it, especially when that person's cell phone goes out for calling the emergency contact or they don't wear a Medical ID bracelet, or are being rescued by a friend, neighbor, or EMS.

I read all the other reviews before buying this, and Several people commented how weak the chain is (they're right). I bought some satin string from the fabric department and use it as the necklace chain. The engraving is PERFECT, very legible, the loop that holds it on is very strong, and it's all lightweight enough that I never even feel it when I'm wearing it. Takes a few weeks to arrive, worth the wait. Many medical personnel have commented it is the prettiest medic alert jewelry they've ever seen :)

I wanted a medical alert necklace in addition to my watch-style alert device - just in case. The pendant itself is perfect and very pretty, but the chain was rather flimsy and broke immediately. I'm not going to return it because I can use one of my other chains.

I love the look as does its wearer, but the chain is quite thin given the type of people that can be expected to use it. Chain broke after several weeks. Also needs a simpler clasp for clumsy fingers. I would like for it to be about half again as big with bigger lettering.

Very impressed with the workmanship on this medical necklace- everything was spelled correctly and fit perfectly on the back side of "drop". This company does excellent work.
