NA Paranormal Reverse Harem
I didn’t realise when I started this book that I’d already reviewed a book by this author. I just liked the look of this book and decided to give it a go.I’m glad I did because this book wasn’t much like the previous book at all, both in style and content. I enjoyed the other book, but I think I preferred this one.Alexis ‘Lexi’ has been in foster care since her parents died when she was 5 years old of a drug overdose. The system has not been kind to her and she has spent a very large portion of her life running from poor foster care. She is picked up by a cop and taken to a new social worker who tells her she’s taking her to a new placement rather than sending back to the last one she ran from. She’s taken at the same time as a hot tattooed guy and they are taken to the same place, which seems strangely nice for a foster home. It’s when she walks into school on her second day that things start getting strange, as groups of boys follow her around and most of them are really hot. The guy brought into care on the same days she was, Raff, was getting beaten up badly all the time. Oh, and the World History teacher was seriously hot. For once she doesn’t feel like running.I found this book entertaining and interesting. There are lots of mysteries dangled and not all answers are given in this book, so it makes me want to read the next book. It seems strange after reading a NA shifter book earlier today with a girl who didn’t have a proper home that I picked another one. I have to say this one was done much better. The characters were more rounded, and the plot more intriguing. I prefer Lexi as a character as well, because she was prepared to give her new situation a go, even when she’d had problems in the system before. In the Forest Grove book I read, the main character hadn’t given anyone a chance to help her because she was too proud to ask for help, something that nearly cost her her life. Lexi doesn’t trust easily, but she is marginally open to it, despite her previous experiences.I also liked all the guys who are interested in Lexi, but the surrounding characters are great too. I especially love Josh, the 6 year old foster son of the two guys who foster her, he’s so cute and loving.I will definitely keep an eye out for the second book in this series because I’m interested in what happens next. Could be interesting!

A great opening to the series
I’ve read a fair few shifter stories and I enjoyed this one also. I really liked Lexi as a character. She doesn’t sound like a whiny teenager and is pretty head strong. I also felt the story line wasn’t rushed and you were able to learn a little bit of all the characters in their different view points and therefore set a good foundation for the storyline. Of course it leaves on a huge cliff hanger so will be diving into the next book straight away.I also liked that fact you don’t find out what Lexi is in the first book as some others tend to rush it. I enjoyed the pace as the book only takes place in a matter of a few weeks so them not figuring out what she is makes sense as it would take time to figure it out. I have some guess of what she could be but excited I don’t actually know for sure.Only downside I would say (and this might be explored in the second book) is I feel like we’re missing out on parts of Lexi’s past. Like she has nightmares every night dripping in sweat but no one is curious to ask if she wants to talk about it? Or even describe what the nightmare was? I’m hoping it will link to what she is and it’s some surprised memories she’s reliving. The fact she has nightmares as well as hints to why she’s “learned from the past” about certain things makes me want to know more about her past. Hopefully the second book will answer these questions.

5 stars
I really enjoyed reading the first book in this series. The story was really interesting and kept me reading. I read the whole tjing in one long sitting, unable to put it down.I loved lexi and all of the guys, but raff was definitely my favourite. The way the beautiful bond between lexi and raff developed was perfect and had me tearful in places.Just a small point, there were some spelling errors, such as 'too' being used when it should be 'to', and a quite a few words used in the wrong tense. There were also a few issues with missing words in sentences, but nothing that took too much away from the great story. It would benefit from some more editing though. On to book 2! I cant wait!

Not a 5 star read today, sorry
This book, indeed all 3 of the books in the series, are written in a rather juvenile language and the author is desperately in need of a good editor. Just about every single page is littered with typos, missing words and incorrect usage of terms (to/too, their/there, scared/sacred, intimate/intimidate) which I find very distracting and loses one full star from my rating. In one sentence the main character will say something, then repeat it unnecessarily in the next sentence. The different chapter POVs from the guys just show them all to be the same guy with usually one different characteristic and make them seem rather wooden. Another star removed. The bedroom scenes read more like young adult even though the characters acted older. The supposed MM themes were just that, some kisses and groping and could have been developed further, but this series really does not work on development at all.The general story was interesting and that's what kept my attention and is deserved of the 3 stars.I think with better editting this story could have crept up to about 4.5 stars. I sincerely hope the author does find one and soon. I don't have editting skills nor can I write fiction but I would have done a better job at fixing the typos.

Enjoyable, easy ready
I enjoyed the idea and the characters.A little slow paced in some places, for a story that happens over about 2 weeks. Going on to read the next one

Pretty good
Honestly, I love this book. It kept you guessing and I'm still guessing. Can't wait until she's of age so maybe we can see what she actually is in the supernatural world. Author had me hooked!

It was okay
So, it was a bit cheesy at times. That maybe because the main plot is romance based than anything else. The characters needed more depth I feel. Despite that, the start of the story was quite different than the usual shifter romances. That was what got me interested to keep reading.

Sexy. Intriguing. Heated.
“Having your cake and eating it too” has never felt so good. This book was so good, I couldn’t put it down. This is the second book I’ve read with a polyamorous relationship, and I’m really liking it. I love how it’s a little twist on the traditional love triangle trope and is also enjoyable to read.Twice Bitten has some amazing characters, and although it’s mainly told in Lexy’s POV, the few chapters we get in some of the guys’ POV are really good too.We get some steamy scenes with our main character and her guy(s), and I feel like it moves very organically.

Amazing start
This was an amzing start to a new series, which I devoured in one go. It is definately on the more young adult side in terms of sexuality but the story was great and really intriguing. Lexi and Rafferty were great from the start but also the other ones were really interesting and I can't wait to read more about them and their whole relationship in the next books. I can highly recommend it.
