Looks great! I am looking forward to learning how to write in Lao with this book!

Ok book. Great for practice writing the letters, but careful with ຖ, ທ, and ຕ! It is wrong in the book and they are not pronounced as shown. ຖ is like the "T" in "take" and similarly, ທ is like the "T" in "Thai" whereas ຕ is actually more like the "Th" in "That". It would sound just as funny in English to say, "Tat one thime, I wenth tho tah marketh." Let's get it right! Now I bought two of these, so I'm just using them to practice my writing I guess, but looking to other guides for pronunciation.

Good to see the letters BIG and in different typefaces. The words they show for each letter are just wrong, so far as I can tell. (Latin transcription "Sung", Lao letters "Tung", and even worse, throughout.) I am learning Lao and do not read it, etc., but am a linguist and know some Thai, and I literally cannot imagine how these transcriptions etc. are correct. But, get the book, as it does push you through the alphabet, and force you to make the letters nice and "round", for example (that is, remove the habitual letter formation I have from writing the American versions of the Latin alphabet, and learn to see what the native Lao think makes the letter "beautiful", and what its character, its characteristic look is to their eye. And don't forget if you can spot the apparent errors, you have indeed learned to sound out the words!

As you seeing the picture, it is incorrect translation. It should be kho kai, not kho sung, and they are more incorrect translations. I would not recommend this for learning pronunciation. These incorrect pronunciation will cause confusion for beginners.
