Much Easier to Use Than a Cable - AND MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE!
This is much easier to use instead of the proprietary cable for my Kestrel 5700 Elite.....AND MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE!! I would highly recommend this item for Kestrel 5700 Ballistic and Weather Meters. A++

Needed to perform firmware updates, or get the cable
Worked without any issues. A little issue that NK won't allow you to update your firmware unless you use this or the $60 cable, is a disheartening, especially since the unit costs $400. Just sayin...

Would not maintain connection
The Bluetooth dongle would disconnect soon as transfer data log or update firmware was selected. Returned and ordered a data transfer c.able.

Its good to have if you have the new Kestrel Device with Link
I bought this item hoping that it would work with my computer ballistics software running on windows CE PDA. It didn't work. However, its great running on my MAC.

unstable
The dongle that I received does not maintain a stable connection to my Kestrel. I emailed the manufacturer and received no reply. I use the over-priced USB cable to download data.
