Perfect safe guard for needling
I'm an acupuncturist in California and was an OMD in Korea. I took anatomy dissection class in Korea and spent whole two year to finish theory and experiment. However I was in need to review the anatomy on regular basis. Finally I found this book.1. It shows the detailed cross section. So I can see all the pathway where my needle goes through. It's a perfect safe guard for needling.2. As usual practitioner rub patient's skin and tissue before inserting needle. Through this book I'm able to understand the underlying landmark to determine the exact acupuncture point.Bottom line : this book is a wonderful reference for actual acupuncture practitioner.

An indispensable textbook for practitioners and students.
Dr. Chang Sok Suh's "Acupuncture Anatomy" serves as a clear and concise bridge for Eastern and Western medicine doctors, practitioners and students. The depth and breadth of Dr. Suh's extensive clinical experience and scholarly research are revealed in every page of his textbook. Dr. Suh's precise explanations regarding human anatomical structures and layers that come into play when inserting needles and performing acupuncture remain unparalleled. The superimposed acupuncture points over lucid diagrams and illustrations serve as a lens into the human body. Dr. Suh's textbook is sure to grace the shelves of every acupuncture clinic, library, and practitioner's office nationwide.- JK, L.Ac, MATCM

An all encompassing, must-have book for Eastern and Western medical clinicians and students
I am truly in awe of this extensive and comprehensive book which has finally come forth to bridge the conflicting gap between Western and Eastern medicine. Dr. Chang Sok Suh (So) fluid and knowledgeable with degrees in both medicines, explains principles, etiology, diagnosis, and treatment using terms interchangeably from both. Beautifully detailed illustrations of acupuncture points (cross-sectional views included as well) are a point to highlight in this book! I give this book an absolute 5 stars as this is definitely a book to study from and to use as a reference for practitioners and students alike.

An excellent volume for practitioners and students
Wow, What an incredible addition to my reference library! The detailed anatomy with the overlays of acupuncture points is highly illustrative. I wish I had had this book as a student. The author was an anatomy professor at U.C. Irvine. Dr. So is also an OMD and an MD. He synthesized his knowledge in this volume to create the perfect reference for any practicing acupuncturist, students of acupuncture, or anyone interested in the pursuit of an acupuncture career such as MD/DOs, physical therapists, or chiropractors. I highly recommend purchasing this invaluable resource.

I found this to be THE BEST book to integrate the two
as a newly practicing acupuncturist but a long term neuromuscular therapist, I found this to be THE BEST book to integrate the two. I would highly highly recommend it.

a wonderful reference and review for professionals and advanced students.
I've read many text books on this subject and this one seems to be the best at doing a number of things. In particular there is a straight forward explanation about the underlying traits and a deeper understanding about how qi, blood, yin, and yang behaves and functions. There is a lot of information about each point, including a lot of western medicine (muscle names and locations as well as nerves etc.) which I don't find the most useful, but for the academic it is surely vital information that can be used in research of Eastern Medicine in this Westernized world. There is no herbal medicine section, but there are many books which cover that, and although the information is vast, memorization is more important when using herbs if one already has an understanding of underlying theory which is well covered in this book. One review said this book does not cover channels in much detail, this is because most books which focus on channel and point location is for amateurs whom have not had formal study, which is illegal in most places. For students and professionals, this book is a wonderful reference.

Deadman is much better.
I did not feel that this book met my expectations. I returned it. Reason being the pictures were very small. I thought the pictures would be much larger and clearer. The wording confused me a little in the points location. Deadman is much better.
