Premium boots
These boots are very good and really are comfy to wear for long periods. Ankle support is great and are perfect for my long dog walking outings in different terrains. Will buy again but are really wearing well with daily use.

Very comfortable and supportive from day one
Really can't rate Salewa boots highly enough amazing all day comfort, great fit for wide feet and amazingly supportive, I've never needed to break them in and blisters have never been an issue despite many trails and mountain climbs undertaken with the several pairs I've had over the years.Only issues to bear in mind, despite the goretex and water resistance claims I've found all the Salewa boots I've owned do let water in like a sieve and the soles are not hard wearing at all, I burn through Salewas quicker than any other boot and unfortunately not been able to have them resoled, I've contacted customer services about this as it seems massively wasteful sending boots to landfill when it's only the soles that need replacing but they unfortunately don't have a repair option for UK customers to extend the life of their kit.

Great waterproof boot
Bought the boots and have since used them on a week's climbing trip in Scotland.Pluses:Excellent fit - good hold of the heel and lacing allowed plenty adjustment to make the shoe fit comfortablyVery good grippy sole - I did some scrambling and easy climbing and was confident in the gripWaterproofDecent weightSolid - they got a good thrashing on moorland, gravel, bolders and stone shootsGood laces - I know, seems pedantic but they are right length/ not too long and don't come undoneMinuses:Mine needed walking in - the arch support relies on the upper shaping round the foot. My right hand shoe's upper folded inwards. I fixed this using stiff insoles that pushed the fold outside. It worked but seemed to be a quality control issue, to be honest

Lightweight boots
Light and sturdy boots. I found that you still need proper socks - but no cotton or liners as I got blisters. Also the collar of the left boot caused some disconfort. Until now total of 60km/ 24 hrs with max 9 hrs (19km) on a hike during summer/dry weather. Overall 5 stars for grip and weight. Can't comment on wet weather/muddy trails

Poor quality -avoid
Ordered in November 2024, now are no longer waterproof, stitching is coming undone at the front and the tongue is coming away from where it inserts into the main body of the boot. These have been worn for walking the dog on one of the flattest part of Britain. AvoidAlso, I have had zero assistance from Amazon and they are refusing to give me my money back regardless of what I believe to be. What is practice in the UK under the sale of goods act.

Comfortable and hard wearing
I've had these boots for a while now and with several long hikes under my belt feel qualified to give them a brief review. I'm not versed in all the technical jargon but can say that the boots are comfortable and don't need a huge amount of breaking in when worn with decent socks. Lacing system is really good although I would want another few inches of lace to be perfect, I either lace one hole down or have small knots, either works fine for me.Size/Fit is as expected but always worth trying if possible

Narrow, hard sole and heavy
I found them to be a narrow fit and the sole to have no cushioning. The sole was very hard without any give. Uncomfortable. Also, marketed as a light boot but felt heavy out of the box. So much so I weighed them to compared them against my older salewa alp mate and they were much heavier. Not lite as the name suggests.Brought as a replacement for my 4 year old salewa alp mate which is an outstanding boot but these were heavier and uncomfortable
