Yeah, it's stupid to think that the best part of this whistle is it feels good to keep in your teeth, but it's true... Silly huh? But, if you're sitting there and you're about to blow it 800 times in the next 2 hours you're gonna want something that feels good in your mouth.Only downside for this one is the color at the CMG... it's this pale look because the CMG is clear white almost.It's loud, crisp, easy to blow. Best whistles hands down for me are these Classic CMGs

loud. we use it when we ski to keep track of each other. The sequel has a unique pitch that is hard to hear if there is surrounding noise. but it does carry well if its quite. Takes a lot of energy to make it loud. normal breath is very quite but a solid blow will make it scream.

Loud! This does what I expect a whistle to do, it makes a loud noise and gets peoples attention. I'd be happy with this on a sports field or on the water. I didn't think that there was any way to improve whistle technology, but this exponentially beats the old metal whistle with the pea.

Ear piercing loud. A good emergency signaling device for outdoorsman; no pea to freeze up in the winter. I give it 4 stars, since the lanyards are short. Forget wearing them around your neck without a longer one.

Perfect whistle for use in the kayak....makes a lot of sound and helps attract attention to your position...exactly what it is supposed to do.

The whistle sounds like it should but it is difficult to keep in your mouth with the rubber grip. It slides out if you are not careful.
