Moody Tools 58-0196 4-Piece Hollow Core Pin Vise Set

These are precision made pin vises and although they are more pricey than the cheap pin vises, using them will prove their worth. They firmly grip even the smallest drills properly and keep them on center.

quality is very good!Slightly different than the images on Amazon. Images shows 4 different size but actually they are 2 size handle with 4 different size collets. For me the small size handle is a little bit too small.

Jaws closed evenly and tightly around smallest wires. Hollow shank allows for longer wire/drill to be held. I used these to grip .035 inch dia music wire to clean out carb jets. Works great.

Holds files and pins tight.

Use these for torch glass work, holding mandrels, pokers, wires, and also for holding cup burrs for smoothing ends of ear wires. I use two of the sizes all the time and two not so much. Will see if I can purchase them separately and get a few more of the ones I use all the time.

If you work with micro drills, this set is a descent choice. As usual, the marketing people want a review before having a chance to really try products out so I cannot speak for longevity.

Have only used 2 of the hand vises for use as a hand vise (reamer handle and small drilling handles). Very well made, precise, and worth every cent! Everyone should have a set in their tool boxes!

Order arrived on time and the pin vises were as advertised but there was no packing in the box and the pouch for the pin vises was punctured and ripped in several places. This will not affect the vises but the pouch would have been nice storage instead of them bouncing around loose in my tool box.
