Shurtape CP-28 30-Day Purple Painters Tape: 1 in. x 60 yds. (Purple)

This is my "I hate tape" solution. Tape makes a gummy mess of everything. This is the next adhesive strength step up from post-its. In other words, it is remove-able, and you can write on it. I don't leave tape on anything very long because it decomposes into an icky sticky mess which is why I hate tape. So at least with this, I know it won't tear the paper it is on or damage any finish as "update it" or I pull it off permanently.

Purchased this to use to hold art paper to my drawing board. Most tapes I have used damaged the paper when pulled off. This holds well, with no damage unless left on for over 4 weeks. Even then, if removed carefully there will be no damage. The 4 star instead of 5 is because I have used a tape that is better - but I forgot the brand name and now cannot find it.

The Shurtape Purple Painter's Tape is a low tack tape that is useful for taping off newly painted areas. It is easy to apply and easy to remove. My favorite way to use it, however, is for marking lines in quilting. It is easy to reposition and leaves no residue on the fabrics. I love this product and wish it was available in my local stores. I'd buy tons!

Stretches quite a bit, and releases without pulling fibers our of the wood as common blue painter's tape does. So great for veneer pressing.

I guess I should have paid more attention to the metric dimensions to see that the imperial width of the tape is a lie. As long as you don't care about that, it is lightweight and light tack.

Perfect for veneer work or anything going into a vacuum bag. Comes up just as easily before as it does after being in the vacuum press.

The tape works great on painted surfaces......

Very nice low stick delicate tape. It will be my tape of choice for my boat since that expensive specialty blue tape pulled up 50 years of paint.
