When I sunk $1000+ into my beautiful iPad pro
When I sunk $1000+ into my beautiful iPad pro, I realized very quickly how precarious its otherwise elegant combination of hugeness and structural fragility could very well be if I was going to carry the thing everywhere...which I most definitely was!Since the iPad pro is about the size of a small briefcase all on its own, I thought it would be super efficient to find a slim, yet durable (and attractive!) cover, then slap on a shoulder strap. The extra protection against accidental drops and utter portability of just such a case would be perhaps the only thing that could possibly make the iPad Pro even more legendary.Combing through pages of Amazon search results, my frustration nearly gave way to despair - I found only a handful of covers that fit a 12" iPad, even fewer that were remotely fashionable, and far fewer still that sported any carrying accoutrements. As you can tell from this review, ultimately, my dogged inquisition was rewarded, as I came across this Sherpa case - an accessory that, more or less, roughly fit my desired specifications. I didn't particularly want a (p)leather (this might be genuine leather, I just don't know the difference really, but it isn't smelly like leather generally has been in my experience) case, and it isn't compatible with the Magic Keyboard I had acquired in a fever during my first few beautiful days of iPad Pro ownership, but I desperately needed a case, before I accidentally snapped the thing in two or shattered it into sand, so I made a little wish on the wings of a monarch butterfly and clicked "add to cart."I've now owned this case for a few months, and I will say, it's been a great product overall. It 100% fulfilled my idea of transforming my bulky jumbo tablet into a sleek piece of eminently portable waif-like day-luggage, and I was quite quickly won over by the look of the thing, despite my initial leather-based concerns. The materials that comprise the case have the look and feel of high-quality textiles, and I honestly never thought I could find a shoulder strap as fetching as I did this one - if you're one of those weird detail people like myself, this case bears the honest-to-god loveliest shoulder strap I've yet seen, and has yet to fray, slacken, or deform at all in the face of the battering that 90+ days of habitual use by a dyed in the wool klutz inflicts upon any physical object. In my tenure as its owner, the case has also taught me that durable, padded (p)leather is an absolutely viable (and equitable) alternative to dumb looking otterbox diving bell "technology." My device is still in gorgeous shape despite a number of heart-stopping tumbles and bumbles. Now, having trudged through all of this exposition, you may be silently yet intently mulling over the as yet unexplained absence of the fifth and final gold star; but fear not - I have simply buried the negatives down here, deep within the nearly impenetrable thicket of my embarrassingly stylized paragraphs, like tart little dew-speckled wildberries of complaint. Although the case is handsome, I don't particularly love its bulk, or the awkward and intricate series of moves one must execute to open the case and access the device (don't get tangled in the strap!). Additionally, the case relies on a sort of Velcro principle to serve as a stand, which ultimately will begin to fray the soft interior in certain spots, and the exterior of the case is (as might be obvious) quite vulnerable to dings and gouges - and these albeit cosmetic flaws can be particularly damaging, as one might infer from a viewing of "Faces of Meth."Overall - if you're looking for a leather-type folio-esque, quite professional-looking case for your giant iPad, this will not only fit the bill, its utter portability and super nifty Transformers + luggage nature will make your heart sing. If you're capable of handling it at all carefully, you'll have a very nice looking accessory for the months to come (maybe years, decades perhaps! I just don't know I haven't had it that long yet).

good but not great
i really like this case but the ipad moves around in the frame and is never really square and the button gets covered. . it would also be nice if it had a flap to store other things and perhaps a pen case built in.

Horrible product, do not buy
Case does give a perfect fit to the ipad causing the ipad shifting around making screen to be inaccessible along the edges
