Strange Sea Creatures

Each page features one sea creature unless it is a two page spread. The photography is stunning. Many of the smaller creatures are translucent and surprisingly colorful. The book is arranged in three sections according to sea depth. Each creature has a full description on its page including where in the world it was found and special characteristics of the species. My teenage grandson will love it after I get a chance to read all of it!

Nice book, but I don't think it lives up to its potential. still, very interesting.

I returned it. The photos were too magnified and very basic. Like a kids picture book

My son LOVES sea creatures and this book was right on point. Great images and descriptions and a number of creatures he'd never seen before. I definitely recommend this book.

Erich Hoyt has come out with yet another exquisite book. Strange Sea Creatures is a beautiful balance between exceptional photography, insightful information and a series of delightful creatures, many of which I have never heard of before. I was excited to find out one of our favourite authors was coming out with another book and this one did not disappoint. A definite hit with every age of reader.

This book opens yet another door to the mystery snd magic that is the physical world we live in! Beautifully and clearly written , descriptions of theses amazing creatures and how they live are meticulous.Photos add a surreal quality to the very real reality...a lovely book....

Great talking point and a book suitable for curious minds. The photos are amazing, filling the large format pages, all set on dark backgrounds. Very little information but photographs alone will fascinate and encourage further fact finding.

After purchasing 'Weird Sea Creatures' by the same author for my 7 year old, and being so impressed with the presentation, I went for this too. It is just as (freaky) lovely, with 90 new monsters for my son to obsess over!Strikes a perfect balance of amazing photography and reduced (but informative) text for a younger demographic to appreciate.Highly recommended.
