Easy, tasty cold brew
This product came out as the top choice by Consumer Reports for a Cold Brew device. I had been making cold brew by soaking the coffee in a large mixing bowl, leaving it overnight and then straining it for quite awhile. Clean-up was messy. The process took a lot of time. It was a chore. This robotic looking product makes it easy. It comes with a filter. You put ground coffee in the device, wet it with 2 oz of water, close the seal and add cold water and ice. There are white guide lines for the coffee and water. There is a dial on top that permits you to adjust the drip rate - faster or slower. You do not have to be fully accurate on the grind. You may need to make a pot or two before getting the mixture to your liking. It does not make concentrate nor does it make a lot of coffee. I make regular and decaf and store it 1-quart old glass milk bottles. (Amazon sells caps). It is made of glass and plastic and rubber. Clean-up is a cinch. There is a website with hints and suggestions. It is among the more expensive units on the market but I am delighted with the device.

Great Small Batch Cold Brew
I roast my own coffee with a high end Home roaster and I have a large Toddy that I like a lot. This Bruer is smaller and a bit more convenient but does not allow the water to steep as much as the Toddy so the brew is not as concentrated. The feature that allows you to adjust the drip speed is fussy and takes a bit of getting used to to get it to go slow..but a quick 60 grams for the Bruer versus the 12 -14 ounces for the Toddy means 6-8 hours versus 24 hours...I like them both for different reasons. The Bruer will get used a lot.

Very useful for making Cold Drip coffee
Haven't had any issues so far with the glass thickness as others have reported. It's about as thick in glass width as standard glass cups would be.With that said, it's not nearly as forgiving as a classical coffee maker. The water "hardness" matters as does the water temperature. If you are getting irregular drip timing, it's very likely one of those two factors.I use a scale to measure out almost exactly 60 grams of coffee and use a "water filter" like those often suggested for camping. Once i've made ice-cubes out of the filtered water, i'll add an entire tray of ice cubes to the coffee maker. The result is very smooth coffee with little "bite" to it but a lot of caffeine. With the size of this coffee maker, it only makes about 18 ounces of coffee per batch. So I make my coffee very strong and then dilute it with creamer, vanilla, and honey.

Very disappointed in the size
Very disappointed in the size, I have a large cup of coffee it doesn't even make enough for two cups. Other than that it's great.

Home brew cold brew!!
Cold brew has been a favorite at our house for years. Finally a system that makes it so easily and predictably every time. I found that the issue with glass is nothing to worry about. Wash and store it carefully and you shouldn't have any issues. Enjoy a great cup of cold brew- made at home!

So far so good!
So far so good, the first time I brewed some coffee was a success. Now I just have to experiment with different drip speeds, temperatures and coffee bean; so exciting! I guess I'm a coffee geek now. There was so much anticipation once I started brewing. I woke up early to check on it, it was like Christmas! My only concern is that the carafe doesn't really have a lid that seals, it kind of just sits on the top. I may just transfer to a mason jar or something because I'm assuming it should be sealed.

COFFEE COMES OUT GREAT. HOWEVER
COFFEE COMES OUT GREAT. HOWEVER, YOU MUST FIRST MAKE THE COFFEE INTO A WET PASTE IN THE BREWER BEFORE USING. PUT IN DESIRED AMOUNT OF COFFEE. STIR SLOWLY ADDING 1 - 2 OZ WATER UNTIL A PASTE. PLACE FILTER OVER IT. DO NOT WORRY IF IT IS NOT FLAT. BREW YOUR COFFEE.
