I have been very pleased at this little machines operation.
We use this for our drive in service while the Covid lock down is taking place. I only use it on low power and it seems to reach about 125 yards radius outside. It also seems to depend upon the type or manufacturer of the receiving radio. Either way, its easy to use and works great!

So Great
I bought this as a very inexpensive alternative to Sonos or bluetooth for getting synchronized multi-room sound, and even shared sound out by the pool and around the yard which is something nearly impossible with modern technologies. I can't convey how thrilled I am with this product. It sounds weird, I'm sure, but it represents the fulfillment of a teenage dream in the 90's when I loved the sound of radio and tried to emulate it as best as I could when making mixtapes with various winamp plugins and EQs... even resorting to playing radio static at a low volume under the music throughout the tape. Well, it never sounded quite right, and now I have what feels like my own true radio station. To be clear, this is NOT a Hi-Fi product. This sound is clear and great for what it is, but it sounds like FM, which to me is a huge plus. In other words, I wouldn't use this to transmit my SACD's or anything... you just have to compress the heck out of the music, embrace the limited frequency response, and enjoy how most FM tuners blow out the bass. If that's a sound you miss from your childhood, or even enjoy today, then this is the technology for you! After unpacking, within seconds I was broadcasting what sounds like a legit radio station with just a rockboxed iPod Classic with song overlap and dynamic range compression enabled. From the house, my property extends about 500 feet in all directions and in low power mode it handles that easily for both my Sony walkmen and Sandisk Sansas (which actually have way better FM tuners than any of my Sonys). When I first started it up in 0.5W mode, I was able to pick the station up in my car nearly half a mile away, which is insane to me for something that is smaller than a walkman with basically a wi-fi antenna connected to it, and even though I have few neighbors in that radius, I'm not interested in drawing the attention of the FCC. It runs nice and cool with no fans, and although the interface is infuriating (why can't I go over 91.9 MHz sometimes???), it's excellent for the price. I do not suffer any hum issues like other reviewers have encountered, thankfully. I think I will buy 2 more so I can have 3 stations blasting different formats 24/7!Lastly: Bluetooth may or may not be bad for your health up against your head with phone in your pocket sending and receiving LTE signals and transmitting bluetooth right against your body, so this old, proven, inexpensive, passive receiving technology may be just the thing you are looking for if you are leery of that. It could also be a boon for people's attention spans that you can't skip tracks, pause, or even see who or what is playing!

Old school way to stream music
I have several old radios from the 1950s-1970s throughout the house and was thinking of a way to stream my music collection to them. I had thought about putting a bluetooth adapters into them, but that did not seem very practical. In the past, I had used a small FM transmitter in my car to stream music from my phone. This gave me the idea of looking for something more powerful to transmit FM throughout the house. Based on the reviews and price, I took a chance on this FM Transmitter. On low power this easily covers my whole house and allows me to stream music to all my radios. I cannot really comment on the quality of the sound, as most of the radios are 50+ years old, but it sounds like music coming from a local radio radio station. I have never turned it to high power as I do not want to risk a visit from the FCC. So far, I am very pleased with this item.

Unintelligible instructions make it hard to use
I purchased this unit to use with an outdoor church service during the COVID pandemic. The final story is that it has a range of about 200 feet on the Hi setting so it will work for us but there are severe limitations and challenges in setting it up.Read the curious instructions very carefully. You must follow them exactly if you want to adjust the power level and/or the FM frequency range. It involves mutiple button pushes before the unit is powered on. Also pay attention to attaching the antenna before the first use.The unit is definitely line of sight without obstructions. Unusable if unit inside the church - range about 25 feet even if sitting in front of a window. Works much better when placed on top of an 8 foot ladder. These two requirements along with requiring 110 power means it can only be used outside in good weather.Other uses such as Christmas light show narration might not have these technical limits, but you will probably find the unit hard to set up. You need a portable FM radio to make sure you are getting the coverage you need.

Adjust the volume!
I used this for a Christmas light display and was having problems with the sound being distorted and filled with static. Once I found the best open station (hint: use lower frequency stations for best results) I had to make sure that my source (mine was a computer) volume was set at about 55%. I then adjusted the volume on this unit. If you turn your source volume to 100% the signal becomes distorted quickly. With some fine tuning this product works great.

Great FM transmitter for the price
This is a an excellent, easy to use FM transmitter. The sound quality is great, as long as you set the audio level correctly. For most use cases (connecting an audio system, a computer, a phone, etc), you will want to use the 3.5mm AUDIO connector on it. Otherwise, if you use the MIC connector, it will be extremely distorted and unpleasant for listeners. The MIC connector is only for directly connecting to a microphone. Also, the FCC allows a maximum of 200' range for an fm transmitter. Unfortunately, a slightly higher gain antenna is typically needed on this transmitter to reach 200'. At least with the stock antenna, you shouldn't have to worry about violating FCC regulations!

Four Stars
Standard Microphone can't be used, you need to have reworked microphones for this.
