Just Pick it up !!!
One of the best Junji Ito manga Volumes released so far, the Idea of adding color panels in the middle of the story is phenomenal ! Really nice touch. This books comes with a beautiful dust jacket. If u are a Ito fan or thinking about getting into Ito's works I would recommend starting here.

5th Junji Ito book purchase by me.
This is my Fifth Junji Ito book. I already have purchased & read Uzumaki, Shiver, Lovesickness and Fragments of Horror. So I am a sucker for horror. I would give this book 3.5/5 at best. Most of the short stories in his books have 'Abrupt endings'. So often it's like seeds of interesting ideas... but the stories end without fully satisfying the reader. In that sense 'Uzumaki' is a complete novel with a proper satisfying end to the entire tale. So this book of short stories once again - is like fun junk food. Satisfies you temporarily!

Does the Job!
Junji Ito's works are not going to win Nobel etc. But it aims to creep the reader inside out. This book does that neatly. What more can one ask for?Highly recommended, for Ito's readers.

Great Junji Ito Collection
Some really solid stories here including my personal favorite, “Engima of Amigara Fault”. Great starting point for anyone wanting to read his work, and it’s a beautiful-looking book.

Unveiling the Depths of Horror
Junji Ito's manga story collection - Venus in the Blind Spot, delves deep into the unsettling realms of horror, offering a chilling exploration of the human psyche and society's dark corners. Through a series of meticulously crafted short stories, Ito masterfully weaves together themes of existential dread, psychological turmoil, and societal absurdity. One of the standout features of Ito's work is his ability to blur the lines between the grotesque and the mundane, creating a sense of unease that lingers long after the final page is turned. In stories like The Human Chair, which pays homage to Edogawa Rampo's classic tale, Ito crafts narratives that challenge our perceptions of reality and confront us with the unsettling truths hidden beneath the surface of everyday life. Moreover, this book serves as a poignant commentary on the human condition, using horror as a lens through which to examine the complexities of existence. From the grotesque transformations of The Licking Woman to the existential dread of Venus in the Blind Spot itself, Ito's stories resonate with a profound sense of unease, inviting readers to confront their own fears and anxieties.

Short stories
Thought this was a full novel, but it was a compilation of short stories. All worth it and would buy again even if I knew this was a compilation of short stories. Loved every bit of the stories and probably buy everything that comes from Junji Ito
