Al Dayaa - Whole Black Olives, Unpitted, 2.20 Lb (1000g)

Poor Packaging / Shipping by Amazon
The olives are fine. I have bought both these Black ones and the Green ones. For the price they are very tasty for the reasonable price charged. So great bang for buck. On the taste the olives are in a salt brine with sunflower oil and a little citric / acetic acid. So they taste slightly salty and not like the small Spanish / CA green olives used in a Martini. The sole reason I am not providing "5" Stars is that of the (1) Black Jar, and (2) Green Jars purchased - 2 of the Jars were delivered leaking. It appears Amazon wrapped the jars in a snug bubble wrap bag and then boxed them up. The first jar I got came by itself wrapped this way in a small box. The vacuum seal was popped and the brine was leaking all over the inside of the bubble wrap bag. On my second delivery one of the jars was fine but the other jar also had the vacuum seal popped and was leaking all over the inside of the bubble wrap bag. In both cases I elected not to return the jars and am eating the olives which seemed fine. In hotter weather I would have demanded a return. Amazon should better wrap / package the jars so the tops don't become ajar during shipping / handling.

Yummmm
There is so much more flavor in an olive that has the pit intact. I could eat these all day.

Great flavor and texture
I loved the flavor and texture. A couple of olives were mushy but that’s normal and expected in a traditional product.

Mushy
These olives are the worst I’ve ever bought. They are very mushy and not worth it

One of the best tasting olives you can buy today
My grandmother grew olives and my mother grows many olive varieties so I am very picky olive eater. I keep buying olives and throwing the away. Too much vinegar, too much spices, too much lactic acid, no flavor... This is one of the rare brands that I find edible. They are even tasty. The tastiest Lebanese olives you can buy nowaday from a store. Of course better to buy them from your local Middle Eastern store because they are all struglling with the pandemic :-)
