Impulse purchase for me. Very tight fitting case!... hard to get phone out. Harder to handle phone compared to a regular case. Bought a regular case to use instead. I do like having the option to have the 2 cards with me in the case.

So I had 3 of the folio cases with the orange protective band from Tech21 for my 6s - very nicely made (changed due to wear not failure over several years), the cover fit on-center to screen and tension clasp worked well. One tension clasp broke in first week, and they replaced it. However, this new case, I agree with other reviewers that it seems rather flimsy and cheaply made. The cover does not sit on-center to the screen but favors the clasp side, and, consequently, the edges of cover on claps side will likely catch on things and abrade/warp sooner. Moreover, the new case’s edge protector band for phone seem quite thin vs the old orange one rated for a 10’ drop. I agree with other reviews that a magnetic closure, and one that you can set to turn on/off screen when lid is lifted/shut, would be an improvement.

I love this case a lot. It’s thinner than previous cases I used with previous phones. I also like that the case allows my cell to be self supported at landscape view. The issue with the case is that the clip broke the first week after using it with normal use.

Having used Tech21 cases from many years now, I was comfortable getting another one for my new iPhone Pro Max. This is my second time purchasing this case. First time was direct from Tech21. Both times, the flimsy plastic clasp has broken after a short while of normal use. The first time I just cut off the useless flap of leather after a while. The hard plastic nub on the right off the phone case is quite durable though. Annoyingly so. Long after the clasp breaks, you still have this hard piece of plastic digging into your hand whenever you type. It makes the phone annoying difficult to hold, and I think whoever designed this really didn’t consider how the phone would actually be used. I mostly use this case because it has the best wallet while being slim, but it’s truly a bad design with that clasp. A magnet would be far better. I hope Tech21 fixes this for future EVO wallet designs.

I need to buy another one

I've been using the case for about a week now and it's a fantastic case. It fits perfectly, the quality and material is solid. Everything about it feels like a top-notch product. All the buttons work great and are easy to press.The ONLY thing wrong with this is the clasp.It feels like it's going to break with the constant clip and unclip. Lo and behold, tonight it finally broke and it's only been a week. If tech21 can re-engineer the clasp into a magnetic flap or something, anything but this flimsy plastic buckle, it would be the most perfect phone case.

I have always liked the Tech 21 gear for my 3 previous iPhones. In spite of the reviews, I did purchase this case, well, because it is one of the better cases, for the money that will protect your screen on your phone. That being said, the clip to keep the case closed, broke in under a week. This is with easy use. Hey, Tech 21 listen to your fans and do better, this is considered a fail.

I ordered this case as the last one I had was superb and was used for over 3 years. I love the protection it offers the phone and it looks smart.A new phone necessitated a new case. However, this one has a slightly different secure catch on the side. The first one snapped within a month and the second, replacement one has also snapped after 2 months. Amazon have been great replacing them but I’m a little bit disappointed with the quality from tech 21. The phone is not protected if the catch is not in place.

I have been buying Tech21 phone cases for my iPhone for more years than I care to remember and, once again, I BELIEVED they had come up trumps with this case.The case is still sturdy, robust, easy and practical to use and, most importantly, protects my iPhone.My last iPhone (an iPhone 6S+) I had for many many years. As I have just bought a new iPhone, my old 6S+ has been given to a family member who couldn't believe what superb condition it was in. This was all down to Tech21.HOWEVER the new design of this case with a silly plastic catch on the side is a bad design fault.The plastic catch actually knocks everything it comes into contact with - the result being that it breaks and you no longer have a plastic catch and the folio flap then just waves about all the time and does NOT protect the screen.I bought 2 of these cases at the same time AND they have both got the same fault.The catch on the first phone broke.The catch on the second phone broke.My husband has now worked his magic and tied some thin elastic around the existing part of the broken clasp so the front folio flap will cover my iPhone screen and keep it covered.The older style phone case from Tech21 with the magnetic catch was so much better and lasted forever. The new design is rubbish so my advice would be that IF you would like to protect your iPhone screen then buy another type of folio phone case for your precious iPhone.Tech 21 - PLEASE will you go back to your old magnetic catch/clasp design?

I have had this case for a month now and the plastic clip to hold the case closed has broken in normal standard usage. This was the least impressive of my Tech-21 cases that I have bought. I believe the company may have been bought and the new owners care about profit more than keeping my phone safe. The whole overall quality of this case has taken a nosedive since I bought my last case. I would suggest people do not buy cases with the Tech-21 branding anymore. If the superglue holds I will use the case if not I will look at other manufacturers. This was my fourth case and it will be me and my families last.

Strong case ruined by a Poor flimsy plastic clip too weak for the case. Surely there is a nylon/plastic material that could make a strong plastic clip which would make this case in a fine unit. I had to cast it aside after 2 weeks after the clip broke and make another purchase of different brand.
