Not quick, but very effective.
I have a health issue that makes it hard for me to stand in the shower and shave my legs. I get too dizzy. I bought this product after reading reviews that mentioned that you can sit in front of the TV or your computer and buff the hair off your legs. Did I mention you could do this sitting down?Yes, it is more time consuming than a razor in the shower. MUCH more time consuming. On the other hand, if you take that time, you get a nice exfoliation, and the hair stays gone longer. After a year of using this product, I find I need to use it less frequently. This is not a product claim; it is just what I have found to be true for me.I do not have many old-lady problems, just a couple of scars from my hiking-and-camping days and one vein that might, at some point, become varicose. I could never use a razor on those areas unless I was planning to donate blood the hard way. I CAN use the Smooth Away on those areas. I have to be a little gentler, but I am in no danger of having to call 9-1-1.But as a person who cannot do those five second shower shaves, this product has been a godsend for me.One more thing that might be of interest to some: I have hairy toes -- okay, not bad, but enough to bother me in sandal season. Razors just create stubble, making it look like my toes have huge blackheads. Plucking is a self-inflicted torture. The Smooth Away buffs that hobbit-hair right off, in just a few seconds.

Smooth Away Hair Removal System - Removes Hair Instantly and Pain Free...
If you wish to remove hair I would recommend some other method, this item was painful and only irritated the skin while only removing very little hair.

ok
This product works alittle, but does not remove all the hair, no mater how long you use it. It dries out your skin allot and always leasves nair behind . Nice thought , but product does not meet expectations,.

Worth a try - has definite pros
I just got this and tried it out. I only paid around $2 for it, which is a great price. If you can get it for $10 or under, I would definitely recommend buying it. I agree with a lot of the reviews here.. It will work but it takes more rubbing than just 6 circular movements, like the instructions tell you. At for me it did. I found it works best if you do it quickly and repeatedly in one area and then move on to the next. It might take longer than shaving, but removes a bigger area at a time. It did leave a lot of stray hairs on me though (legs). Other hair removal products can do that too, so I guess I can't be too disappointed about that. What I like a lot about this product is that you use it while dry. You're not supposed to take it in the shower. I find that very helpful and convenient. I just did it over a towel while I was watching tv. It wasn't messy, like some other reviews here suggest, but your legs will look "ashy" afterwards for sure. I just put some aloe on them and they looked just fine. I didn't have nay redness whatsoever. Another benefit, is that I wasn't ichy afterwards, like I sometimes get with shaving. Also it did leave my legs pretty darn smooth. I think with practice or just trial and error, you can find out what works for you and your hair needs with this product. I have a strong desire to get rid of the "peach fuzz" type hair on the rest of my body. It's HARD to shave that and creams like Veet aren't exactly miracle products either. Now even though that's super fine hair, it is still hard for me to remove! But I feel this product is a better option for that than the other methods. As far thicker hair like bikini area, it will remove it but will take extra effort. I think I will use it for touch ups between waxing though. I'm not sure how many uses you can get out of a single pad, so I don't know what to advise as far as how many refills or whatever you will need.OVERALL, but it if it's not too expensive. It has definite pros and you may find it very helpful/convenient. So far I'm still searching for a miracle product though.

Doesn't work and it hurts
The only reason it's getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because I think it has a nice, compact, and discrete design. Functionally speaking, 1 star. Congrats- it kind of almost got the job done. I mostly, sort of removed my hair. However, my lip and chin were red and scabbed (thankfully just to a degree I could feel but wouldn't be noticeable to others) for a full 6 days after I tried this. Ok and I don't have weak skin. I'm a white girl in my mid-20s with olive-ish complexion and fine, light brown hair on my head-- I'm not exactly the toughest test site for a hair removal product. I rarely have any zits. My skin, it's not finicky. I can use Sally Hansen face hair remover cream no problem without any redness within about 5-10 minutes after use. With this product, I tried it out on one small area of my chin and one side of my upper lip at around 11 am. When my husband got home at 5:30 I was still in pain, had to use makeup to try to cover the redness, and I tried to keep my distance from him all night. Unfortunately, it honestly took 6 days before I felt like I was back to normal. And seriously, the hair was not fully gone at any point. Certainly not completely smooth. I may possibly try this again sometime when I have a week of solitude scheduled to recover in case it fails again. I'm sure I must've applied too much pressure. But the thing is, when you're doing it, you're just looking at whether there's still hair. And since my hair is very fine and soft (and normally very easy to remove), it didnt occur to me that I was abraiding my skin so badly since the hair was not coming off. My recommendation: use Sally Hansen cream. I get it at Walgreens.

I love these!
I have been using these for a couple of years. I was very disappointed when they stopped selling them at Wal-greens. I was happy to find them here. They take hair off with little effort. You do have to be careful, because it can have a 'micro-dermabrasion' type effect on your skin. Just be careful as to how forcefully you buff. It is ten times better than waxing.

Did not remove hair. Irritated skin.
I tried the small pad on my forearm, chin, and neck. It did not remove any hair. It irritated my skin. It is a piece of sand paper that you stick on a plastic pad. Totally useless. Wish I could give it no stars.
