Great guide for the scale modeller!

Great reference

A very good book but a note first. If you are a novice modeller I would highly recommend this book. However, if you have been modelling for a while then over 50% of this book will not help you. Now the remaining 50% on creating weld seams, texturing armor and a very good chapter on zimmerit varieties and their application is top notch and well done. I don't want to appear at all negative on this book but the experienced modeller will only utilize about half of the book. As opposed to the excellent volume 2 on painting and weathering which teaches all of us something new on every page.

My order was well packaged. However the book arrived with a sharp cut down its spine that nearly severed the back cover and last page. The outside packaging showed no damage at all. The item arrived well within the mailing timeframe. The book is OOP, so I was glad to get a copy.

I'd give it 5 stars but it has typos. I hate typos. There is no excuse for them.

Great modelling resource. Easy to read and understand and great illustrations. I have learned a ton by just reading this book!

I love Adam's beautifully detailed work. I purchased this book to see the modeling techniques Adam employs. Unfortunately a full 75 pages in the beginning are a gallery of his work. Much of this has been shown in other publications at length. From page 76 on is the meat of the book which has text and photos dealing with model building. While the gallery section is not without value I would have preferred that be eliminated or shortened along with the cost of the book. Otherwise if the entire publication was filled with construction topics (which is what the book is supposed to be) I'd have given it 5 stars.

Don't waste your money!!... The first 75 pages is of this book is of this guy's models he's made..to be honest I've seen better!! ...seen a review of someone saying throw all your other models books out this is all you need...lol..plank... you'll learn anything you need to know about model making on YouTube...+++ It's free...I'll be selling this book trying to get some money back on it..don't buy!!

Purchased as a Christmas present for a third party, upon receipt of the book I was personally impressed with the quality of the contained information. I am sure the recipient will be delighted

Already puttng some of the techniques in this book to good use. Excellent source for an occassional amateur model builder like me.

If you still don't have this & you are a serious modeller then you are missing an essential part of your kit
