3 Color Spot Carbon Monoxide Monitors Change Color When CO Gas Present Save NOW! We OVERSTOCKED: YOU SAVE! Passive CO monitor warning system for airplanes, cars, trucks, RVs. Check carbon monoxide levels . If a muffler leaks on a small prop plane, CO is introduced into the cockpit by the heater. This carbon monoxide detector changes color when exposed to CO, a deadly gas. The CoStar Quantum Eye Passive Carbon Monoxide Monitor is an inexpensive, non-mechanical passive carbon monoxide monitor . Not for use by color blind individuals. M inimum sensor life is 18 months from the time the package is opened. Unique Package : Remove from packaging: Sensor detection starts. Check Sensor Color Often to Protect Against Carbon Monoxide Poisoning While Flying, At Home Or On The Go. Mounting tape on back. Protective plastic covering: keeps sensor safe from accidental over spray from cleaning solutions or other potential contaminants. Biomimetic Technology: Responds to CO in a way similar to the human body. Operational Range: 41F to 100F, Sea Level to 15,000 ft. 25% to 38% Relative Humidity Rapid Sensor Regeneration: Caution=2 hours, Danger=8 Hours. Three Level Readings: Danger (Dark Blue ) = Evacuate! Caution (Green) = Ventilate! Normal (Yellow) OK The Inner Circle Indicates Air Quality. Designed for use in vehicles: Auto, Truck, RV, Boat, Aircraft Small Size: Business Card Size Sensor Type: Patented Passive CO Specific Biomimetric Sensor. After exposure to carbon monoxide, freshen the air. If the sensor has not been overexposed, it will regenerate to its original color and be ready to use again. Instructions: Remove from plastic bag to activate. Mount in readily visible location. Notice: Protect sensor from water, grease, solvents, dirt, cleaning solutions, and other contaminants which may destroy or shorten sensor life. Keep away from hot surfaces and direct sunlight. But I love the fact that this can detect and then when ...
I needed a Carbon Monoxide detector in my aircraft, and this works perfectly. It has a magnet and double sided sticky tape on the back, in order for the double sided tape to work, I did remove the magnet. But I love the fact that this can detect and then when the air clears it can be used again. I am sure over time this will wear out, but even if it only lasts a year it is better than some I have seen that are only good for a few months.

pretty straight forward...... use them in my plane
Well.... I guess these work, they have never indicated a problem, but I'm still here! On to more important things, check out my flying channel on youtube by searching: GravityKnightFlying..... lot more exciting than this CO detector!

Peace of Mind
This would be perfect if the sticky tape on the back would actually work. It keeps falling off the plastic dash panel. Maybe it's designed to stick to metal only or something.

Inexpensive CO monitor that fits cars too.
Nice product. Got to double-check co reading in car. The back of the card has both a magnet and double-sided tape for attachment. The card is loosely held onto the plastic shell.

Simple product to use
I placed this in my Airplane so I wouldn't die from carbon monoxide while flying. It's really simple to use all you have to do is look at it.It is about the size of a credit card so it will fit just about anywhere you need it.

Inexpensive detector that works.
This product responds well by changing color depending on concentration and duration of CO exposure. It alerted me to a dangerous situation when a cabin seal failed and returned to normal once conditions improved. While troubleshooting the cabin leak, this simple detector's effectiveness was verified against a Sensorcon CO meter.

Did not dectect exhaust
I have had this in my car since last September. I thought it would be good peace of mind. In the past two weeks I thought I smelled exhaust a few times but the indicator was 'normal' with no change so I thought maybe I was just imagining things or maybe it was another car nearby. Finally I took the car to the dealer for service and one of the things they found was that the catalytic converter was damaged as well as a crack in the exhaust manifold. There was exhaust coming into the cab. This indicator was just eight months old it should have had a full twelve months to go. It never changed color or gave any indication of there being a problem. I've had it too long to return it but I definitely wouldn't rely on this for safety.

Exactly what we were looking for!
This thing gives us HUGE peace of mind. We can't keep a traditional CO detector in the basement because it's a small space and it would be too close to the appliances. Having this thing down there allows us to take a peek and be reassured that everything is in good shape! Remember, it's not an active alarm (meaning that it won't alert you if it detects CO), so you have to visually check it. Our CO alarm is upstairs, and this just provides us with an extra layer of protection.
