Hey Winston, Mate I work in metric and my head is 54cm, according to my tape measure that is 21 1/4 inch and I got the Extra small and I put a piece of material half way round the inside of the brim. I had trouble with a local purchase of this hat being too big so I would recommend going the smaller size than the size that they advertise. Hope this helps mate, Cheers Simon (Australia)
