BMW 6 Series 1976-1989 -Ultimate Portfolio Paperback – January 10, 2004

Very nice and complete overview of the e24 Six Series. It is very similar to Clarke's Gold portfolio but has more Alpina specific write ups.It's expensive, sure, but has at least a couple of color frames, whereas the other compendium is mostly black and white. To those of us in the US the Autocar reviews and UK period reviews are items we've never seen. It is also interesting to see the comparisons of the time, the Jaguars and Mercedes, and how they fared.

There are lots of books about BMW out there but this book is different.Basically the book is made up of motoring articles, road tests and adverts of the great BMW 6 series during its production life.If you want to know what the motoring world really thought of these great cars when they were being manufactured this is a really good buy. Some of the print quality is not the best, but that is due to the age of the original source material and in no way spoils a great read.A good buy for anyone who wants real information on this car.

This book is a collection of articles published when these cars were new. Magazines from Europe and North America provide some great insight into just how significant these cars were when they were new. Great book!
