Skydrop SDWS1.0 Outdoor Enclosure

The casing is sturdy and well fabricated, but it is bigger than needed. The controller is a decent size, but with the enclosure ends up being way too big.

I got this enclosure to hold our skydrop controller. it works as advertised. the key could use a larger hole to fit on a key ring but other than that if mounting your skydrop outside this is a must.

It's a nice design, functional and looks good but the plastic is a low quality for outdoor exposure. Even though it is grey, it has yellowed substantially in the first year outside. The locking tab has also broken off my unit but fortunately it seems to seal well enough without the clip.

Super easy to install. I wish that it came with a short cord to plug it in to an electrical outlet attached (remove able for hard wiring), but I just took an old powerstrip, lopped off the cord and attached it with a knock-out hole wire clamp I happened to have around. It comes with a keys latch, to keep people from walking off with the sky drop or messing with your settings, I guess. A++

The item was an open item and the description didn't state that. The product has dirt on the back and the plastic have sunlight discoloration. It came complete with screws and keys.

Works great. Having the 110 outlet built into it was genius. It helps make up for the weak WiFi signal of the SkyDrop unit. It makes a nice enclosure that looks like and allows the corner of my garage to look squared away rather than in a mess like before with the old sprinkler controller that had a mess of wires everywhere.

Within an hour of installation the incredibly thin tab of plastic on the door where the latch attaches snapped off.

Installation easy and settings has practical features. Can name each zone, manual start from iPhone great feature. Added extension have total of 12 stations. No problems
