Vector Watch Meridian Smartwatch-30 Day+ Autonomy, 5ATM, Notifications, Activity Tracking - Black Case/ Brown Leather-Casual

The media could not be loaded.  After some initial difficulty with the Windows Phone (10) Vector Watch App (version 1.7.1), I finally found that by swiping the text at the very top of the app -- where it says "Watch Maker" on the default start page -- only then will it scroll to the other screens for "Store", "Activity", and more importantly "Settings". In the settings section of the app, there are options to change 12/24 hour time as well as Metric/Imperial Units. So that solved my biggest concern for use, and I'm now rather pleased with the watch.I have a Windows 10 phone (Lumia 950), and the app could use minor improvement (as most apps on Windows could), but it does seem to get the job done. I was stuck for a while trying to figure out how to just change basic settings (like 12/24 hour time and metric/imperial units) until I looked it up online. The screenshots of the app on other platforms show that it should have a menu on the bottom, but the Windows 10 version is missing this UI feature. That was initially frustrating. However, after seeing another review for the watch on Windows Central, I noticed a screenshot of the Windows app showing partial text for "Sto..." at top right, which led me to believe I needed to somehow swipe to access the other sections of that app. With that revelation, I was then able to access the complete functionality of the app -- and therefore the watch. It's much better with more apps, streams, and settings! :)Before the Vector watch I had a Microsoft Band 2. I became used to the having the notification from my phone on my wrist, which I liked. However, I only had that watch 1 year until the rubber band started to crack. So I was looking for a smartwatch replacement that worked with Windows Phone. (I didn't mind the lack of fitness sensors, GPS, UV, heartrate, etc -- thinking that only having to charge once a month would be rather liberating.) I've only had a couple days now, and it's at 88% -- so I would suspect it should easily last weeks on a full charge. So that's cool for a smart watch that's always-on.The notifications seem to work pretty good so far. Sometimes I've noticed a several second delay between receiving on the phone and then seeing on the watch, but that's not a major issue. Also, I found the music controls will work, but only if I start music on the phone first, and then the artist and song appear on the Music app on the watch, and I can pause (middle button) and adjust volume (top/bottom buttons). So that reminds me of the Band, but is perhaps more tactile using physical buttons rather than swiping on a touch screen.

So i should mention, that this watch is not for everyone. it has a monochrome screen not led.. (kind of like a black and white screen kindle, or a calculator, you get the idea.. and actually the thickness of the bezel bothers me more than the monochrome screen) and although it has the features i want (and most people want) most like providing you your notifications and texts and email on your wrist, it doesn't have all the little extras that other brands have.in fact i had to give it 4 stars because in the time ive had this ive moved to a different watch for my primary use, the thing i found most disappointing was that at the time i had a windows phone and this was advertised as working with windows phone and the app just, didn't work, plain and simple.but it worked great with my google pixel and an iPhone i tried for a short whileBig Pro.. even though i don't think ive touched it in a month or two.. its just been sitting, turned On, on my desk, and the battery has 76% left..other watches deal in hours and days.. this one lasts weeks, or months.. like, long enough that the only charging problem you are likely to have is that you need to make sure you remember where you put your charger the last time you charged the watch.. in fact i now primarily use a moto 360 gen2.. but i keep this around for days when i forget to charge the moto, i can grab this and put it on and it will still have plenty of battery even though ive neglected to charge it for weeks on end.this is a watch for minimalists.. if you want your notifications on your wrist but don't care enough about other features, or more likely, don't want to be bothered by needing to charge yet another device every day.. then you should consider thisthe truth is if my company weren't cool enough to pay for a new wearable device every year, i would have been happy to keep wearing this watch on a daily basis, having more feature filled devices available to me is the only reason i treat this like a backup device.In the picture the Vector is Right and the Moto 360 gen 2 is left(the vector has a code at the top of its screen because its not paired to my phone currently)

Had been looking to replace my old Casio Waveceptor for ages, but didn't want to go for a pure smartwatch that would need charging by the time I looked at the watch.This one has managed to last for a whopping 8 weeks on the first charge. That's with a daily alarm and alerts for email and Gtalk messages. Maybe not massively lots of those, but even if it lasted just 6 weeks I'd be happy.Keep in mind though:- The display can be difficult to read in certain light conditions, so you may need to move your arm a bit or manually enable the back light.- As the make was aquired by Fitbit, all support is dropped. So what's on the market is all you get and a few service (e.g. weather updates) don't work anymore. As I didn't really want that many services, that's OK for me, but may not be OK for others.

Nice device, very elegant. Technically still poor for my mobile Win10 where the link is still not good. The blue tooth interfere with some application on the phone. Back light nice when it works.

ich bin nicht gerade ein Experte für Smartwatches, die von Android Wear oder Apple hab ich noch nicht in der Hand gehabt. Dafür schon ein Microsoft Band 2, was auch als Smartwatch im erweiterten Sinn durchgehen könnte.Sie sollen sie nicht so gut verkaufen, wie man sich da erwartet und erwünscht hat, warum kann ich nicht sagen.Aber mit der Vector Smartwatch bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ich bin kein Uhren-Liebhaber, und hab mir lange gedacht, mein Handy würde eh reichen. Aber die Vector Watch find ich schaut sehr gut aus, eben wie eine Uhr, und nicht wie eine weiteres elektronisches Gadget. Und sie hat halt auch noch zusätzliche Funktionen, wie Benachrichtigungen über einkommende Mails & Co, und das auf eine dezente, aber doch spürbare Art und Weise. Fitness tracken geht auch, benutz ich aber nicht.Sie ist nicht perfekt, so leuchtet sie in der Dunkelheit nicht von selbst, sondern man muss einen Button drücken. Und die Synchronisation geht nicht immer, aber gut, das muss bei anderen Gadgets nicht unbedingt besser sein (war es auch beim Microsoft Band 2 nicht wirklich).Ein starkes Argument für mich für diese Uhr war auch, dass sie mit Windows Mobile funktioniert, und da hat man nicht unbedingt sehr viel Auswahl.Gesamt gesehen würde ich die Uhr wirklich empfehlen, wenn man ein dezentes, attraktives Gerät mit Smart-Watch-Funktionalität will.

Jeder sucht die perfekte Smartwatch. Auch hier wird er Sie nicht finden, aber für mich bietet Sie fünf wichtige Kriterien.1) SEHR SEHR LANGE AKKU Laufzeit. Hab Sie jetzt ne Woche und noch 70% Akku!!!!! So muss das sein und nicht anders.2) Wasserdicht. Ich hab die uhr immer an und will nicht aufpassen ob ich die beim Duschen oder schwimmen ausziehen muss.3) IOS Wird gut unterstützt.4) Whats App wird unterstützt5) Sie gut aus.Weitere positive Argumente:6) unfassbar viele Displaydarstellungen kostenlos zum runterladen. (Autolabes- BMW, ect., Exlusivlabes, Rolex, ect., Mondphase, ect. )Und die kann man dann teilweise auch noch selber verändern.7) relativ günster Preis (256,- mit Lederarmband. ) Dann nochmal 20,- für ein Sportband und gut ist.8) Gibt die Daten an Health App weiter.9) Bedienung nur über 3 Knöpfe. Rest über die App konfiguerierbar. da muss man nicht an der Uhr rumfummeln.Nun zu den Abstrichen.1) Ich hät gerne ne pulsmessung gehabt, abr da kann der Akku natürlich nicht lange halten. Aber letztlich bin ich bis jetzt ohne Pulsmessung ausgekommen und werd es auch in zukunft überleben. Ich nutz die Uhr zu 90% im Altag und nur zusätzlich zum Sport. wer einen Fitnesstracker sucht, sollte entwerder einen seperaten nehmen oder direkt eine andere Uhr. Hatte die Gamin Fenix 3Hr auch da und die war fast perfekt - nur VIEL zu GROß. Nicht unter dem Hemd oder mach enger Jacke tragbar!2) Sie könnte ein helleres Display haben. Man kann zwar die Beleuchtung einschalten, aber das ist eher lästig. Auch einen Bewegungssensor zum Zuschalten der Beleuchtung wäre schön. Den scheint sie zwar zu haben (manchmal geht das Licht bei Bewegung an, aber nicht in irgendeinerm erkennbaren Modus?)3) Wie bei vielen Smartwatches lässt sich die Vibration nicht einstellen. Es vibriert immer nur einmal kurz, was man durchaus mal nicht bemerken kann. Aber sie zeigt es im Display an (immer etwas anders, je nach gewählten Display), wenn irgendetwas angekommen ist.4) Armband lässt sich nicht schnell wechseln.5) Kein Touchdisplay sondern alles mit 3 Knöpfen. Kann aber auch ein Vorteil sein?!6) Anleitung nur in EnglischWie gesagt, für mich fast perfekt und ich werd Sie auf jeden Fall behalten.

Nach einigen Tests diverser Smart Watches, habe ich mir die Vector Luna zugelegt, sie funktioniert mit meinem Lumia 950XL hervorragend.Man sollte nur folgendes beachten:Das Lumia sollte die aktuelle Build haben (nicht Insider) und aus dem Store sollte die VectorWatch-Beta App installiert sein.Die WinMobile 10 App läuft auch, aber bei der Beta App sind einige Fehler behoben und die Benachrichtigungen funktionieren einwandfrei. Dazu gehören: WhatsApp, Mail, SMS, Facebook, Twitter und alle Benachrichtigungen aus dem Benachrichtigungscenter (mirror your phone)Tel Anrufe werden mit den gespeichertem Namen angezeigt und können ignoriert angenommen oder auch abgelehnt werden.Das Display kann gut abgelesen werden und hat einen guten Kontrast, es ist nicht so ein tief Schwarz wie auf den Bildern, eher ein dunkel Blau, aber das stört nicht.Watchfaces gibt es kostenlos sehr viele im Shop, man kann auch auf der Developer Homepage eigene mit eigenem Design schnell erstellen nur privat, nur für Freunde oder auch nach einer Prüfung für alle freigeben.Die Uhr wirkt sehr hochwertig und solide, sie ist relativ schwer, was ich eher als positiv empfinde, da sie wie eine vernünftige Uhr und nicht wie ein Plastikspielzeug rüberkommt.Es können auch diverse Streams geladen werden die man dann, in das selbst erstellte oder auch vorhandene Watchface integrieren kann z.B. Datum, Wetter, Schritte, Entfernung, Akkustand Uhr und Phone, verbrauchte Kalorien etc.Der Akku hält bei voller Displayhelligkeit und weiteren nicht energiesparenden Einstellungen Beleuchtungsdauer 20/30sec. anstatt 2sec. etc. locker 2 Wochen.Wenn man die Einstellungen auf energiesparend einstellt, dann auch bis zu 30 Tage.Ich will die Vector Luna nicht mehr missen, sie ist ein sehr gutes Rundumpaket, wenn man eine edle Smartwatch haben möchte, die aus der Masse hervorsticht und man nicht viel Wert auf sonstige Spielereien legt.Mir ist es wichtig das sie gut und hochwertig aussieht, das alle Benachrichtigungen angezeigt werden und das man sie nicht alle 1-2 Tage aufladen muß.Telefonieren, SMS schreiben und Apps bedienen kann ich auch über mein Handy, dazu muß ich nicht auf einen kleinen Smartwatch Display rumfummeln.Es gibt auch noch ein paar Nachteile.Die BT Verbindung ist sehr stabil und die Verbindung geschieht auch bei einer Reichweitenunterbrechung wieder stets von selbst und zuverlässig.Jedoch ist die Reichweite mit 3-5m relativ kurz, man muß um alle Benachrichtigungen zu bekommen das Handy immer mit nehmen und kann es nicht mal kurz auf dem Schreibtisch liegen lassen, wenn man den Raum wechselt.Das ich es aber eh immer dabei habe, ist das kein großer Nachteil, sollte aber erwähnt werden.Der Vibrationsalarm läßt sich in der Intensität (noch) nicht einstellen, bei mir reicht es zum Wecken aus, wenn man aber einen festeren Schlaf hat, kann es sein das man es nicht bemerkt.Die Nachrichten Tagsüber werden aber stets wahrgenommen.Alles in allem für mich ein gelungenes Produkt !Das Fitbit jetzt übernommen hat, sehe ich nicht unbedingt als Nachteil.Zum einen garantieren sie weiterhin die Funktion mit den aktuellen Betriebssystemen zum anderen ist es ein zusätzliches Produkt im Portfolio von Fitbit und nicht wie Peple ein Konkurenzprodukt.Ein Fehler war natürlich die Aussage von Fitbit die Software erstmal nicht mehr weiter zu entwickeln, sondern "nur" auf dem aktuellen Stand zu halten.Das schreckt jetzt einige ab sich eine Vector zu kaufen und ist von Fitbit kein cleverer Schachzug.Das sollten sie sich nochmal überlegen, Fitbit kann seine Absätze erhöhen, wenn sie weiter auf Vector setzen, denn es ist keine Alternative sondern eine Erweiterung der Produktpalette.Ich habe eine Fitbit Blaze als Sportstracker und die Vector fürs Büro und die übrige Zeit.Das ist eine gute Kombination und die eine kann durch die andere nicht ersetzt werden oder wer will schon mit einer Kunststoff Fitnessuhr ins Restaurant gehen oder im Büro rumlaufen und nimmt eine elegante Uhr mit Leder- Edelstahl oder goldenem Armband mit zum Laufen, Schwimmen etc. ?Ich mache mir da keine Sorgen das Fitbit die Vector nicht weiter verfolgt, dafür ist der Marktbereich zu wichtig und in diesem Falle auch einzigartig.
